"What are you doing," a voice asks.
"Sleeping," I answer still with my eyes closed.
"Um, Maddie we have to get ready,"
Autumn.
"Red, how did you get into my house," I ask rubbing my eyes open.
"Rose let me in, she nice and sweet, she reminds me of my grandma," she explains to me walking into my closet.
"What are you doing here,"
"I'm here to help you get ready and I need to borrow a dress," she explains.
I smile at thought of going to the dance and seeing Cole there.
"Okay, okay let me take a shower at least," I tell her getting and walking to the bathroom.
I walk into the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror, my hair was a mess but that was a sign that I slept well. My eyes travel to my lips that were still bruised from the wonderful night I had. My thumb traces my lips as the memories of last night flash through my head as I smile.
"Sweetie I don't know what you are doing in there but we are on a schedule, so hurry up," I hear Autumn yell from my closet.
I laugh a little "Okay," I yell back.
After I was done washing my body and hair, I hopped out of the bathroom, drying my hair with a t-shirt. Oh great, Autumn was standing in front of the mirror with two dresses.
"Oh good, you're out which one do you like more," Autumn asks holding up a dark red dress and a dark blue dress.
"The dark red for you it complainants your hair and the dark blue for me," I explain walking over to the mirror.
"You read my mind," she says side hugging me. I hug her back of course.
"Now let's do your hair and makeup," Autumn says playing with my somewhat wet hair.
"I can do it myself," I say fiddling with my fingers out of nervousness
"Sweetie no offense but you suck at makeup and doing your hair fancy," Autumn tells me rubbing back in a comforting way.
"You're right, Rose is the one who does it for me always," I explain before sitting down in the chair in front of my vanity.
It took her a whole hour to do both our hair and makeup and as we were getting ready I told Autumn everything that had happened between Cole and me, this left Autumn screaming and dancing around my room making me laugh. Finally, we put our dresses on and were ready to go to the dance. We both decided to have natural-looking makeup, Autumn curled my hair and put it half up half down. For her hair, she decided to straighten it but have two braids that come together in the back.
Knock. Knock.
"Come in," I answer.
"Lyn, someone is here to see you, also after this dance you better tell me everything you told Autumn left her screaming in excitement," Rose said but I didn't expect her to wink at me before she left. What is going on?
"Okay, thank you, Rose and I will don't worry,"
"Did you invite someone else," I ask Autumn before grabbing my purse?
"Nope, it has to be Cole and he's early thank goodness we are ready," she says grabbing all og her stuff and smiling widely.
I take a deep breath in before I walked out first and Autumn followed behind me as we both made it down the spiral staircase making a drama entrance.
