"Oh, hello?"

Eddy said to a shorter male he seemed to recognise. "Yes, oh-" came a quick reply. Wide eyes, with a grin, the boy replied, "Hi Eddy!" Eddy smiled, "Hi Brett, what a coincidence!" Brett giggled, "Well I already told you I came to this youth orchestra, so maybe not so much of a surprise." Eddy smiled, "Maybe yeah, I'm glad I found you though, those other twenty year olds with beards scare me."

The evening went by quickly. A few snapped E strings, some viola screeches and a long lecture of the conductor went by. Eddy and Brett bonded even more, since the latter played the Tchaikovsky violin concerto second movement, during his break time; which coincidentally was the first's favourite piece. The two boys talked even after the class was over. Brett's mother was late to pick him up, giving Eddy enough time to ask and save Brett's personal phone number, because the dummy had given him his mother's previously.

"Did you know that your phones rings at an E sharp, when someone texts you?" Eddy said, proud of his statement. But Brett wasn't really impressed and hence, Eddy earned a nice smack of shoulder. "If you, mind you, crack your perfect pitch jokes to impress me, I swear!" Brett stood up from the bench outside the campus, "You'll what?" Eddy smirked, amused by Brett's sudden outrage, which was adorable. "I'll-" Brett paused, not knowing how to get on Eddy's nerves. He had just met him the day before. "I'll drop cockroaches on you." He said, mentally slapping himself.

Eddy had just grinned, internally cooing at the smaller's cuteness. He hadn't missed the look on Brett's face when he was stuck, despite the darkness. Brett's mother had pulled up soon after, leaving Eddy to walk to his home which was luckily very close. He knew he had found someone; different. Amusing, comedic, hardworking, playful, intelligent; apart from his horrible spelling skills, and most importantly; charming. He knew this one, was to last.
