Eddy nervously bit his nails, his bad habit returning back. He stood in the middle of the jewellery shop, looking at the large array of men's rings. He had tried six, which he liked. He knew his pinky was the size of Brett's third finger. But he knew they wouldn't stand out for Brett. Though Brett like the simplest things, the rings couldn't signify something. He wanted something that would help connect their two worlds; almost as if each other's presence weren't enough. But Eddy was actually just overthinking.

"What's the special thing?" Brett asked, as he walked up to open the door, "You'll see," Eddy smiled softly. The car revved up, and soon the two men started humming to soft melodies. Switching between k-pop, to English, to classical music, they reached their, what Eddy called the 'destination'. "Uh, wow, isn't this peaceful? Look at the flowers, they're pretty. Damn." Brett said, linking fingers with his boyfriend. Eddy's hand nervously went over to his pocket, tapping something. "Hmm, came here for a picnic." Eddy said, softly, pecking Brett's forehead before turning around to grab a long, white and fluffy blanket as their 'fancy' carpet.

Eddy sat down, one leg outstretched. Brett claimed it as his pillow, as he started a random conversation. Eddy's hand ruffled Brett's hair, softly pushing it around and setting it right. Brett hummed to Tchaikovsky, "What's so special today, hun?"

Brett was crying in the car, "Can't believe this." Eddy smiled, "I can't either." Eddy's hand grasped the pale hand of Brett's that laid quivering on his thigh. "I love you." He picked his hand up, and kissed the knuckles. "I love you too," Brett croaked out, looking at is ring. "I love this man."

The house had never felt more peaceful. Eddy's nose slowly found it's way to Brett's neck, snuggling into the warmth. Brett groaned, half asleep. The moon rose, and fell. Sunlight blared through the window, yet the two were unshaken. Embracing each other till the very end.

There was so much love, too much. But all good things were meant to end; forever is only a word. Blink, and you're dust, as if you were never a diamond in the first place. But love always remain the same, if pure. They were pure, weren't they? They were destined to be together, weren't they?

Destiny has it, if two people were meant to be together, not even death can separate them. Maybe it is right. Maybe, this will last.

Or maybe this will be the last.
