Umm, hello?

"Umm, hello? EXCUSE ME?"

Eddy shouted, voice husky. His index pointing at his husband. "Watch your tongue, Brett, it's just two days of me going." He tried calming his head, trying to take the thing with tranquility. "But why always when I want to go somewhere with you? First Paris and now London!" Brett shouted from his bedroom. "We have our anniversary in a month! A month! We need two weeks to get visas, tickets, rooms, places, planners, and all the crap, and you're telling me you have to go in a week?!" Brett clapped his hands.

"I forgot to tell you the day before yesterday! That's when I received the mail! Why don't you understand? You want to go to Korea, let's go! I get it, it's our five year anniversary but we still have time! I said I'll be back within three days, two for the show and one travel time." Eddy shouted, stamping his feet for extra emphasis. "Try to understand!"

"Excuse me, Eddy! Watch where you're going! I always try to understand, cope with you. Try to see things from my perspective, for once! For one god-dam time."

Eddy shrugged, furiously looking at the main door. Brett was shouting things now, and Eddy was getting more and more furious. His anger shut all forms of communication from his side, all he could do was hear and fume.

He heard Brett throw a pillow down, and he realised he had had enough. He took his phone and car keys off the coffee table and stomped towards the wooden door. "I'll be back later," he mumbled underneath his breath, so as to not anger Brett even more. He just hoped he didn't come home to broken glass everywhere.

The car revved up from their porch, travelling south to a place they both knew all too well. The most familiar street, but the most unfamiliar situation.
