Chapter 2

"What did I do wrong?" Zane asked once all the names were read.

"Nothing you are fucking perfect!" I hope he noticed the sarcasm, because it was there. I looked over at Cody but he was staring at mrs. Kemp waiting for her to assign topics to the groups.

"Is there a certain topic you want?" Zane asked trying to make small talk. I just rolled my eyes and came up with the most stupid answer in the world.

"Yes I want the topic of is it true that if guys have small feet do they really have a small penis."

"Would you argue that it's true or false?" He asked taking me serious.

"False all guys have small penis's." I state mater of factly.

"Have you seen all guys penis's?" He asked with a smerk. But befor I was given a chance to answer our name was called to pick from the vase of doom!!! So I got up and quickly grabed a slip and walked back to the desk handing it to him.

"Don't you want to read it?" He said after reading it so I took it from him.

"Is child abuse the same as child molesting"

I cleared my throat. And looked at him.

"I think child abuse is the same as child molesting." He told me.

"It is not the fucking same you moron!" I almost yelled at lest we now knew where each other stood, but before he replied mrs. Kemp started to talk.

"You will be working with your partner over the month to get ready for a debate and you will have to meet on your own time. Now before class is done I want a 4 page essay on why monkeys should be able to go to school."

I got out paper and worked till the end of class.

"Bent wait up!" Cody yelled when we got on the field for p.e. I had already started to run the trail to go around the lake but he caught up quickly. "Do you wanna hang out after school?"

"Sorry but I gatta help mom. You know how she is." My mom is very protective of me since her and my fathers divorse, but she doesn't care that I hang with Cody but I have to come home after school for an hour first.

"We'll it was worth a try wasn't it?" Everyone thinks me and Cody are more then friends but in reality he is almost my brother. So that would be nasty.

"Yep." I said and we continued to talk and jog till the end of class.

When I changed out of my gym clothes I went straight for my ford escalade. Throwing my bags on the floor and puting it in reverse. Almost running over someone in the process. I rolled down my window and stuck my head out to see who it was. When I saw Zane I just continued to back up and speed all the way home. Still in a bad mood blaring my Bruno marz cd.

My family isn't poor we are well off with a 3 bedroom house considering its just me and mom here. I looke a lot like her with the same electric blue eyes and dark brown hair.

I walked into the house noticing a note on the counter from my mother.

My car broke down so I got a ride to work an u pick me up when you get home?

I do not know why she didn't just text me! But I got in the car none the less and drove to pick her up at the clinic she worked at. She would defiantly owe me for this.

Stupid mom working car I wanted to take a nap!

I got into to the car for the second time today muttering about how crapy today has been. Its not that long of a drive only about 20 minutes but with the tired state I was in but I finally pulled up to the building parking in my moms employee parking spot.

I got out of the car and took out my cell phone out.

"Mom I'm here where do you want me to meet you?"

"My office is fine Hun I'm almost done."

"Ok i'll be up." I hung up and walked into the building saying hi to Sarah the front desk lady. My mother had her own practice. She was a chiropractor. I opened the door to my mothers office to see her still on the computer, so I just laid down on her couch. I must've dozed off because I woke up about an hour later and she was still on her computer. When my mom gets into her work she tends to zone out.

"Mom we are leaving!" I halfway shouted waving my hand in front of her face.

"Bentley please just one more second." She pleaded like a 2 year old.

"No mom let's go I have homework you can finish that at home let's go!"

"Fine." She huffed grabbing the computer and her purse and followed me out to my car.

"How was school baby?" Ohh I see now its small talk. I started the car and headed on to the back roads so I wouldn't have to suffer through traffic.

"Fine mother perfictly fine." I growled letting her know I was upset.

"We'll I had a wonderful day at work just wonderful." She almost sung. Making my bad mood go away at the sound of happiness coming from her voice.

"That's great mom" I said taking a look at her seeing a huge grin on her face."who is he?"

" Honey you are the only one in my life."

"That's a load of crap" I chucked.

I looked to my left seeing if it was clear but not before a huge light flashed towards me
