Stolen hearts

Chapter 5

Everything is dark but I hear voices. I don't really want to get up. Like before you have to go to school where you just sleep like 5 extra minutes. But the voices were getting louder so I couldn't go into a deep sleep.

"Mom it's been over a week."

"Yes and I think tomarrow you should go to school."

"But I have gotton all my work done, it's not like I'm failing."

"Please Hun, Bentley will be here when your done."

I didn't hear the rest of it because sleep over took me. It wasn't perfect sleep. It was red with a screaming lady like in Harry Potter. It was just creepy, and made me incredibly warm/thirsty.

My plan was to go down stairs to get water, but when I opened my eyes I didn't know where I was.

The room was bright not my bedroom my room was teal blue. Letting my eyes a just I turned my head to the left and saw a bunch of machines. And noticed a faint beeping sound. Then I looked to the right and saw Cody with his head on the bed and his hand in mine.

Why can't I feel his hand? I tried to move my arms and legs but they wouldn't move.

"Fuck" I yelled in frustration. "Why can't I fucking move my body!" I groaned to myself. A heard a voice clear to my right so I looked over, to see Cody starring at me.

"Your awake?" He asked,like it wasn't real.

"Unless we are in wonderland then yes I'm here!"

"I'm sorry", he whispered

"What's going on cody? What happened why can't I move my body?" I asked hoping he would give me the answers but he just got up and left. That is when I decided to cry. I was so frustrated and alone, I can't remember anything. The door suddenly opened and Cody, his mom April, and a man walked in. I sat there staring at the man as April and Cody took a seat next to me. April grabbing my hand. Not that I could feel it.

"Miss. Venisly you were in a crash!" He stated matter of factly.

"What?" My voice was shaky.

"You are paralyzed from the neck down and you suffered from memory loss. The memory loss my not be perminet some things will come back." I just stared at him speechless parilized that means no soccer! "Can you tell me the last thing you rember?"

"Umm I was at principle Johnson's office because I feel asleep at class." I stated I mean it must've been this morning.

"That was the morning of the crash." Cody spoke up. He looked at me seeing the confused look on my face. Looking down at his hands he says. "That was 11 days ago."

" hey at least I got some beauty sleep." I say trying to bring humor into it. But then I get serious again. " was anyone else hurt?"

Every one was silent. The doctor was the one who finally spoke up.

"The other driver is fine, but your passenger did not make it!" I stared at him trying to rember who my passenger was. But nothing came up.

"Please tell me I wasn't driving with teddy!"

"I will let you guys talk about this."My doctor said then he left.

"Who was my passanger?" I asked April tears started to fill her eyes.

"Your mother." She quietly spoke. And my heart broke.

"Can you please leave" I asked them.

"Bentley you just found out some hard news I don't think you should be alone!" Cody stated

"I said fucking leave!" I yells looking away from them wishing I could be the one to leave but I could not move so looking away was the best I could do. I waited till I herd the door close and bawled my eyes out like a little baby. Eventually crying myself asleep.

What do you guys think it was hard writing this chapter because I can not imagine what she is going through.
