Snow littered the ground. The chill in the air caused a shiver to run up my spine. I clutched my jacket tighter around me.
"I told you to wear the bloody coat" Malfoy says as we slip into the sleek Cadillac. I stare out the black tinted windows. Today is the first time visiting my family.
We arrive at the place I called home my whole life. Well, until now. Malfoy waits in the car. I step up the small steps. I take a breath before letting my knuckle tap the wooden door. After a second knock, the door swings open.
Kael stands at the door, his surprised expression turns into fury.
"How, dare you leave? Do you know how worried mom and I were- and that message… THREE FUCKING MONTHS LATER! We had thanksgiving and christmas without you mom was so broken."
"Who's there?" I hear another male voice my father
"What the fuck is he doing here, Kay?"
"He came back after you left. He's gotten better… sober. He helped us. He was there when you weren't"
"I heard what he said about Mom. It's funny that he comes back when gone. He never wanted me, I mean he never even beat mom until I was born. I guess it just proves you're the golden boy. Just like him too. "
"I'm you're father I've always loved you, that's why I left so I didn't screw up your life!"
"Well, my life is screwed up anyway. There is no excuse for what you did!"
"If that's how you feel heres your stuff already packed he hands me a duffle bag of things. Books, clothes, the necesities."
"I'm sorry."a tear slips down my cheek "Tell mom too and tell her to forget about me. Looks like you already have I look between the two. I start towards the car.
"Is that Malfoy?"
"Stop. Don't make this any worse" I warn. I'm not afraid of what Malfoy will do to him. I'm afraid of what he'll do to Malfoy. This time.
"You okay?" He asks tears running down my cheeks
I rub them away with my sleeve
"No. Drive me home" I hear the keys jingle and the engine start to fume.
"Come here, Princess"He says while I cry, still clutching the bad
"This is pathetic. They have a reason to hate me. I'm the reason-
"Don't you dare blame yourself. What other people decide is out of your control" he retorts
"I trusted my brother to have my back and fight for me. I feel so betrayed."
"You, Princess deserve better" he kisses my forehead. I peck his cheek
"Thankyou"
"Only for you" He winks. I laugh, my stomach feels a bit tingly. Weird.
"You can be very kind" I tell him
"I can be very persuasive, as well" He wiggles his eyebrows jokingly. I shake my head holding a laugh. He tickles me, particularly my love handles.
"Draco..n-no " I manage in between my fits of giggles
"What?" he stops abruptly " I believe you, Princess called me by my first name"
"Don't get used to it" I shove him playfully
"I will" he smirks
"I'm hungry" I sit up "Can we get Taco Bell?"
