Malfoy is driving me to the clinic. An uncomfortable silence looms over us. I exhale with shaky breaths and I fidget with the silver ring on my finger. I glance over to Draco, who glances back, his eyes softened. One hand on the steering wheel the other rubbing circles on my thigh.
"Princess, you'll be fine. There's no need to be nervous" He presses his palm to my knee. I nod.
We arrive, pulling into the parking lot. He gets out swifty opening the door for me. He holds out his hand which I ignore sliding out of the passenger's seat. I swallowed trying to dissolve the pain in my stomach.
"You know I could've done that myself, right?"
"I was being chivalrous"
"Well don't" The panic rising in my chest had me on edge. Draco has been supportive "I'm sorry"
We walk in the door, marching to the receptionist's desk.
"Name please" the young man chirps excitedly
"Alexandria Parker, I'm here for an Ultrasound"
"Allrightie, Dr. Snow will be right with you"
"Thank you" I say we quickly take a seat.
It's only a minute or two before the Doctor calls my name. Caitlin Snow, Draco insisted we get the best doctor for our baby. I agreed.
I sat laying down on the patient chair. She had me lift up my shirt. My stomach still doesn't appear to be showing.
"So is this your first?" She asks spreading the cold gel on my belly
"Yeah, it's our first" I look at Draco who smiles. He extends his hand and intertwines it with mine.
"Wonderful" she finishes using her monitor she looks at the machine " It looks like your having a girl" she smiles brightly
"It's a girl. Draco, it's a girl" he releases my hand and kisses me. After, Dr. Snow hands me tissues to wipe the gel off my stomach which I do frantically. I pull down my shirt.
"So is she healthy, developing?" Draco asks
"I can assure you, there's no need for either of you to be nervous. She's perfectly healthy. I felt a pang in my chest but ignored it.
The next doctor appointment.
It's been a few weeks since I had my first ultrasound and I haven't been able to stop looking at that picture of her. My favorite name ideas so far are Nars, Eliza, or Daisy.
I wake up in Draco's death grip. I try to pry myself from him. He stirs awake, pulling me tighter to his chest.
"Dray, I need to pee"
"Hmph. Fine" He crinkles his brow, slowly releasing my body
I reach the toilet but am pressed with a sharp pain directed towards my lower abdomen. I hold on to the back of the toilet, but the pain quickly subsides. I need to ask the doctor about it later. I pee, and then return to the room.
I see Draco sitting up in bed. I crawl to his lap, straddling him
"Morning sunshine" I greet kissing his jaw, making him lean back. He kisses my lips, as I grip his bicep.
"Alex, love, take it easy."
"Daddy please" I whine tracing the crotch of his boxers.
"Princess, right now? We have to get ready for your appointment"
"Yes" I say seriously, looking him in the eye, as I slide my hand past the waistband of his boxer briefs.
"Princess, no" he says firmly "we can't " get rough with you like this"
"I'm pregnant, not on my deathbed. But fine if you think it's best for the baby" I cross my arms "I call the shower first. Or we could save some water…" I suggest
He traces my arm thinking. "You tempting me , I can't very well say no, can I"
"Nope" He gets up, turns on the shower in the ensuite.
"Tell me when the waters warm" I lay down but he grabs me bridal style
"The waters warm" he places me in the shower and slides in.
He massages my coconut product into my scalp,and rinses it clean. I lather his platinum locks with his mint shampoo. He rinsces it.
He takes his time scrubbing and caressing my body.
"You are so beautiful" my breathing hitched. His wet skin, touching mine.
"I love you, Draco" I turn around, tracing down his chest. We share a passionate, intense moment. "and I love her, our little girl"
"I love you bolth so fucking much" His eyes bore into mine. He closes in grabbing my jaw, kissing my lips, tenderly.
Soon we are dressed and at the clinic.
We wait for Doctor Snow in the exam room.
"So before I take a look, I have a few questions, have you felt any abdominal or pelvic pain? nausea, cramping?"
"We'll this morning I was having some abdominal pain"
"Why didn't you tell me?"Draco practically shouts
"I didn't want to worry you, plus I figured I ask about it while were hear"
"Describe it" she prompts
"It was a quick sharp pain that made me slightly dizzy"
"Ok well, let's check on the womb."
She gives me another ultrasound and attempts to verify the baby's heartbeat.
"I'm sorry. Your baby's heart stopped beating. It's too premature to deliver and revive her" The color instantly drains from my face
"What? No, no, no. Please my baby"I broke into a sob. I bury my wet face in my hands "This is all my fault I should've been more careful"
"Our baby is gone? Just like that? " Draco said tears threatening to spill
"I'm so sorry. There's nothing you could've done to prevent this." She exits the room
"We should go" I announce
"They probably need t run more tests , make sure your okay" Draco reasons
"I'm fucking fine. I want to go home"
"Okay"
Josephine prepares dinner but I don't eat. I can't. I miss her so much already. All I can think is how a big part of me is missing.
"Hey, talk to me" Draco watches me stare at the ceiling, wet streaks across my face.
"I'm fine." I wipe my tear- stained face "How do you feel?"
"I feel sad, It's ok to feel sad though we just lost our Daisy"
"That would've made the perfect name. I was going to be a mother, have a daughter, and we lost her. I miss her so much already. I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault, love"
"I'm sorry for making this all about me." I wipe my tears away with the back of my hand.
"Nonsense, look at me, I love you no matter what, all of you " he laced his hand in mine

Writing this chapter genuinely broke my heart. It felt like a part of me died. sorry it took so long to upload, I was debating a long time whether to keep this version or not. It will get better I promise lol
