"I don't think that's a good idea" I descend down stairs into the foyer.
"What do you want, Kay?" I ask, swallowing thickly
"Answers, actual answers. Why are you here? Why did you leave?"
"It doesn't matter. And don't judge me. You lost that right when you brought Henry there"
"He's our father"
"I know, I believe in second chances, what I don't believe in letting someone manipulate you. Think about it, if mom's not there who's he gonna beat on next?"
"I can handle my own"
"Tell that to the drug charges"
"Yeah? Well at least I never slept with my best friend. You were that desperate after Daniel broke up with you" How the fuck does he- "Marcus told me in confidence. What other secrets do you have?"

"I spent months blaming myself, and for what? Thalia was so distraught. Hell, so was Daniel. And that message? What the hell was that?"

"You practically dropped out of school. You have the credits to graduate too, but no college applications. What were you running away from? You had everything going for you!" I flinch at his severe tone. Draco plants his hand on my shoulder for comfort
"Why the fuck does everyone want an explanation. I just cracked, ok!"
"you owe us at least that"
"What do you want me to say, Marc? There isn't a way I could make any of you understand. You are all better off." Malfoy holds my arm to which they eye suspiciously.
"So what are you two dating? Is he why-"
"Shut it"
"God, you've got to be kidding me? Malfoy, is that true i... is it- is that why?" He gestured not finishing his question aloud
"Yes." He simply replies
"She told me not to trust you. Maybe I should've listened. My sister, Malfoy, really? " Kay gets in his face
"I was wrong. He may have many distasteful qualities but I assure you, loyalty is not an issue. He's loyal to his responsibility, his company, and his staff."
