For a moment, everything was bliss.

The salt on my lips.

The water, tussling my hair.

The sea welcomed me, cocooning, and enveloping me in a shell of warm water and euphoria. All those nagging fears and worries that had been plaguing me, tormenting and cursing me, melted away in the water's swirling touch.

I was home.

Frothy white waves showed of, doing an aquatic dance above my head, but my heart was beating rapidly. I wanted to explore. Nothing seemed false or grim, I was in the water, where I belonged. The ocean let gentle waves touch my body, letting my hair dance and stream behind me, while I drifted, suspended in the powerful liquid.

The water accepted me, and in that moment, I never wanted to leave.

I wanted to stay forever, swimming in an underwater heaven. I wanted to let the moonlight and water surround me and protect me. I wanted to explore, and I never wanted to be ripped from the water's powerful and gentle embrace. It felt was finally living, finally breathing. Everything seemed to made sense. All the insecurities that have been biting and building up inside me, all the lies, all the worries, and unease, disappeared when the water trapped me in its powerful embrace.

The thoughts that peppered my brain began to fall away one by one as I swam deeper, into the briny deep. I imagined them floating to the bottom of the ocean and dissolving into the sand. The water cradled me, its salty fingers soothing my skin, its embrace bringing a whisper of a whale song. It tugged gently at my hair, and light, colder currents left gentle kisses against my face.

My entire body was tingling, thrumming. I belonged here.

Underwater terrain and ocean scape stretched out beneath and around me. Sand drifted back and forth against the marine floor, as seaweed fronds waved their green tentacles, welcoming me to their environment. They were mesmerizing - most everything was mesmerizing - as was the play of light and shadows across the rocks. Different colored rock formations stood proud and tall, rising from the sandy floor, one almost reaching the surface. I let my eyes sweep about, taking in the sight of the cove, as ll concepts of time vanished and peace filled my body, which was letting the currents jostle and dance me amongst the water.
