Chapter 4: Regrets

At the hospital

                             Sollux POV

Oh my god. I can't believe this is actually happening right now. I can't believe Eridan almost killed himself. Even though I admit I'm a jackass, that's no reason to kill yourself.

Throughout this entire talk with myself I looked at Eridan and winced. He looked terrible, he had IV's in his wrists, a breathing mask on, and apparently had other cuts on his body, all over his torso. The doctors said that he was lucky to be alive and any moment later he would've been dead. I flinched at that thought. Eridan Ampora dead. And it would've been my fault. I don't deserve to be here right now, I'm gonna cause more grief for him when he wakes up, but I wanna apologize to him for causing him to try and hurt himself.

If I hadn't been bullying him so much, then maybe he wouldn't be here. On that thought why do I bully him? He never did anything to me,but yet I bully him. What happened for me to treat someone like this. Maybe it's because I thought Eridan had a perfect life. I mean his dad's rich and he has a cool older brother. I mean my dad can barely support me and Mituna. Mituna is practically special.

'But if Eridan has such a perfect life, why doesn't he live with his father' a voice in my head said.

Yeah, if he did have a great life why doesn't he live with him? Before I could think more on it a girl about my age walked in. She had long, wavy black hair, expressive brown eyes, wore pink goggles- why is she wearing them?-, had on a pink shirt and skirt, and wrote hot pink flats. This girl was practically a neon sign with how much pink she was wearing.

"Hey who are you? Thrangers aren't allowed in here." I questioned harshly. She glares at me hatefully and replies,

"I'm his cousin."

I'm pretty sure my eyes widened. Eridan Ampora has a cousin. How come I've never heard of this?

"You're the jerk that glubbin put him here." It wasn't a question, just her confirming. I flinched and slowly nodded. Her eyes narrowed and she walked over to me.

"What did my cousin ever do to deserve this?" She asked. I couldn't answer her, so I just looked away. That didn't go so well with her since she pinned me against the wall. I looked at her with wide eyes and tried to get out of her grasp.

"TELL ME NOW!" she yelled. Something within me snapped.

"You wanna know why?! Fine,I'll tell you. Your couthin has a perfect life and he flauntth it around like he'th better than everyone elthe. Yet he complainth about everything." I sneered.

"THE REASON WHY THAT IS, IS BECAUSE UNCLE ORPHEUS KICKED HIM OUT!" with that she threw me out of the room.

What does she mean he was kicked out?
