Chapter 11: We Need to Talk

                            Karkat POV

Sollux has been acting strange lately. He's been showing more affection to Ampora than he did last year. I guess that's a good thing though. Sollux thinks I don't know, but I knew he had a little crush on Ampora. He just tries to act like he doesn't to keep his reputation. I'm no better I mean I like a dude too.

At first I've been trying to convince Sollux to not bother him, but when Sollux sets his mind on something it's difficult to try to convince him otherwise. Sollux acts like a little boy pulling a girl's pigtails just to try to get her attention. I feel bad for what I did to Ampora, after all he's not a bad guy, he's actually pretty cool. Unfortunately, you can't just forget years of torment.

Currently I've been wandering around the school trying to find Sollux so that I can talk to him. I'm gonna try to convince Sollux to tell Eridan how he feels about him. I looked around Sollux's hangouts looking for any sign of him. But alas he wasn't seen near his hangouts. I even asked Tavros and Gamzee, but they haven't seen him either.

Just as I was about to give up I heard Tavros mention that he thinks he saw Sollux in the infirmary. It was worth a shot. I ran towards the infirmary and,surprise surprise, I saw him there. He was staring at Eridan who was in the bed. Huh, what happened there?

I slowly crept in as to not disturb him. I could only hear bits of what Sol was saying. He kept apologizing to Eridan and saying he'll get revenge on Aradia. What did she do now?

"Hey Sol, could we talk for a bit?" I asked him. He looked at me for a while, like he knew I was there, which knowing Sollux he probably did. He nodded slowly and got out of his seat and kissed Ampora's forehead softly saying to him that he'll be right back.

We walked not to far from the infirmary.

I took a deep breath and said" Sollux I know you're in love with Eridan." I waited for his reaction. I expected him to be angry or scared, but he looked calm.

"How long have you known?" He said it so softly that I almost didn't hear him, but yet I did.

"I've known since middle school you ass kisser." It wasn't meant as a insult, just friendly banter.

"You gonna tell?"

"No, all I'm gonna say is that you need to tell him."

"How am I thuppothe to do that. For godth thake KK he'th healing from old woundth. I can't tell him now, he'll think I'm a freaking hypocrite. I'm jutht getting to know him. Even if I did tell him, which I won't, I like thingth the way they are now. I'm happy with jutht-" I cut him off.

"But that's just it Sollux you aren't happy with just being his friend, you want to be more. Damn it Sollux someone's gonna take Eridan away from you and you'll have to sit back and let it happen." 

"No one will take him away from me!"

"MAYBE NOT NOW, BUT PEOPLE WILL NOTICE HOW GOOD-LOOKING HE IS! THEN THEY'LL BE SWARMING HIM FOR A FUCKIN DATE! FOR FUCKS SAKE THEY WILL PROBABLY WANT TO FUCK HIM! DO YOU WANT THAT?!

"No."

"You need to step up your game Sollux, because I already hear that Serket is planning on taking him. You need to tell Eridan and you need to do it soon." I walk off without hearing a response. I hope Sollux heeds my advice, because if he doesn't he'll lose Eridan forever.
