Chapter 27: Arguments

~Normal POV~

"Wait, thith douche ith your dad?!" Sollux exclaimed looking back and forth between the two Amporas. The two of them ignored him, still staring intensely at the other. Eridan's eyes filled with anger and hatred, while his father's eyes are cold and calculated.

"You haven't changed a bit... still the same weak little boy." Orpheus Ampora sneered.

"You're still the same too...a cold bastard wwho neglects his children." Eridan spat.

Sollux looked at Eridan worriedly, he's never seen Eridan like this before. Yeah he's been angry, but not like this. His anger is pure burning hate. And all of it is aimed at his father.

"Oh you're still going on about that? Grow up boy, you're not a child any longer so stop acting like it." Orpheus rolled his eyes, as if Eridan's anger at him meant nothing to him.

Eridan snarled, "Howw can I act as something I'vve nevver been?!" How dare he act so nonchalant? Goes to show how much daddy dearest really 'cares'.

"Get over yourself boy! I've given you and your brother a roof over your heads and this is how you both repay me? Your brother acting like something he will never be and you running off because things got too hard! Now I find you taking care of some plebian and not only that you're apparently dating him?! You are such a disappointment! If you're mother were here she'd be disappointed-," Orpheus was cut off from his ranting.

"NO SHUT UP. JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU HAVVE NO RIGHT TO SAY THAT MOTHER WWOULD BE DISAPPOINTED IN ME, WWHEN IN REALITY SHE'D BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOU! YOU, WWHO HAS NOT ONLY NEGLECTED HIS CHILDREN, HIS FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT YOU ALSO BRING US DOWWN. NOTHING CRO AND I DO IS EVVER GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU! YOU CLAIM THAT CRO AND I ARE UNGRATEFUL," Eridan scoffed at this, "BUT LOOK AT YOU! A NO GOOD DRUNKARD-!"

Smack!!

Sollux went up to Eridan when he saw that he got smacked. A bright red handprint on his right cheek stinging him. Eridan looked at his father with tears building up in his eyes, as if he couldn't believe his father hit him. Orpheus stood there with his arm in the position which showed that he did hit Eridan. There was no regret, only cold, angry eyes. They were like ice cubes.

"You dare boy?," Orpheus practically whispered out, "You dare to say such things? I see now... I see that I should've gotten rid of you when I had the chance, after all you're the reason why you're mother is dead. It was a waste of time coming here, I thought that you would see the error of your ways, but no you're still the same ungrateful child. You want to stay here? Fine. But when he finds out about your little 'condition' he'll leave you and you'll be all alone." He said this gesturing to Sollux.

Orpheus fixed himself up before heading towards the door and the two lovers heard the door slam closed. Eridan was in a daze as Sollux tried to talk to him, so he was led into his bedroom and Sollux held him as he cried himself to sleep.
