WASHINGTON DC. 2014
JAMES Buchannan Barnes made his way out of the heavily wooded forest, and onto the side of an old road. He had no idea where he was. and no idea of where to go. After the events that took place a mere two hours ago, he knew he couldn't go back. Hydra had fallen, taking the Winter Soldier along with it. Now all that was left, was to start over, and remember.
NEW YORK CITY present day
Persphone Rolled over, popping one eye open to find her phone, checking the time. she jumped out of bed and rushed into her bathroom. She brushed her teeth, and pulled her hair into a ponytail, allowing two small pieces of curly hair to frame her face. She then headed into her walk-in closet, although most of her items were packed up, some clothes were still available. She threw on a pair of cuffed mom jeans and a cropped sweatshirt with a white-collar. After throwing on white sneakers, and some simple makeup. she grabbed her book bag and headed out of her room.
"Good Morning Persephone" Friday greeted Seph, she smiled. and proceeded to rush down the hall and into her sister's room.
"Wake the Hell up-" She shouted opening her sister's door, to find Beth already dressed and ready to go. Beth was wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a pastel pink and white dress over it. her long blonde hair framing her face, her pink vans matching the dress.
"Ready for school?" She asked Seph.
"Yeah, I guess I overslept," she said shocked at her sister's appearance.
"and what? you just assumed I overslept too?" Beth asked as the two sisters walked side by side down the hall together.
"I mean... No," Seph said shaking her head. Beth smiled and looked at Persphone as they reached the elevator.
"I get it! we didn't get back home until 1 am last night" Bethany said shrugging her shoulders. Seph's eyes widened.
"It was that late!?" She asked.
"Yeah, and I had to stay up even later to help Clint! and your bloody knuckles" Beth said gesturing to Persephone's hands as they walked into the elevator. Seph looked down at her knuckles and noticed the purple bruising, along with the scabs over her knuckles.
"How is Clint by the way?" She asked looking to her sister who stood holding her books in hand with her book bag on her shoulder.
The elevator's doors opened, and they were both met with the smell of bacon and the faint sounds of conversing in the kitchen.
"He's great! took a bullet but should be fine in two-three days" Beth said heading towards the kitchen.
"Hey girls!" Pepper greeted them. "It was so late when you got back last night I didn't get to say goodnight" she smiled. Beth hugged her, and Seph playfully dogged her hug and headed into the kitchen. Spotting Steve sitting at the table drinking coffee reading the newspaper.
"Hey spangles," She said coming up from behind him stealing a piece of his bacon sitting on his plate. He dropped the paper and looked up at her.
"Read the Paper yet?" he asked her. She shoved the piece of bacon in her mouth and shook her head.
"No, I'm not an old man like you!"
"Well you should, miss Perception has made the front page again," he said crossing his arms with a smile on his lips.
"Again!" Seph shouted stuffing the rest of the bacon in her mouth. Tony walked up behind Seph and patted her head, a cup of coffee in hand.
"Morning Kiddo, how did ya sleep?" He asked glancing down at the newspaper on the table.
