OUTSKIRTS OF BERLIN GERMANY
a few hours later

Persephone remained unconscious. Sam had found her on the roof, shortly after Steve and Bucky had fallen into the river. finding where the two were hidden, Sam took Persephone with him, and she has been resting on the cold wet floor of an abandoned warehouse since then.

James was also unconscious on the opposite side of the room. his Metal arm keeping him pinned down so he couldn't escape and hurt anyone. Stirring from his state, Bucky opened and closed his eyes a small grown escaping his lips. he looked up through his damp messy hair to see Persephone sleeping across the room. she was sat with her legs pulled to her chest, leaning against the wall. her head tucked into her knees. Bucky kept his eyes on her for a few moments longer. Remembering everything that happened, ever since the events in Washington that happened a while ago, he has been getting better and better at remembering. seeing as he could now recall throwing, slamming, and choking the innocent girl across the room caused a pit to form in his chest. But he couldn't pinpoint the feeling. Yes, he felt guilty and ashamed. but another part felt angry and scared that he would go as far as to hurt her... her, he thought. why her, why did he feel this much guilt and shame when he had done the same to dozens of others just like her. before he could continue to think, Sam shouted to Steve noticing James was awake.

Steve came running into the room and stood two to three feet away from bucky. Sam stayed behind slightly and checked up on Seph who remained sleeping.

"Steve," Bucky said tiredly. his voice deep and his body dragging itself to hunch over in his seat, his arm still being pined down.

"Wich Bucky am I talking to?" He asked firmly. Persephone began to wake and sat so she was sitting crisis cross apple sauce watching the interaction between the two super soldiers. her head kept falling back but she forced herself awake.

"Your mom's name was Sarah," Bucky said looking up to lock eyes with Steve. he paused thinking for a moment. "You used to wear newspapers in your shoes," He said now smiling slightly. James then drew his attention to Seph. looking slightly confused as to why he was talking to her.

"And your the girl from the roof," he said gesturing towards her. she smiled a little and looked over to Steve who crossed his arms and observed.

"Just like that and were cool?" Sam asked sarcastically.

"What did I do?" Bucky asked looking up completely, changing the subject.

"Enough," Steve said to him.

"Oh god, I knew this would happen," Buck said closing his eyes looking down again. "Everything HYDRA put inside me is still there, all he had to do was say the goddamn words"

"Who was he?" Steve asked.

"I Don't know," Bucky said looking up at Steve again.

"People are dead, the bombing, the setup, the doctor did all of that just to get two minutes with you," Steve said still standing with his arms crossed. "I need you to do better than I don't know,"Bucky paused for a short moment and Persephone sat and listened to their conversation.

"He wanted to know about Siberia," Bucky said looking over at Seph. "Where I was kept,"

"Why would he need to know that?" Steve asked quickly. Bucky thought for a moment and then turned to face Steve completely.

"Because I'm not the only winter soldier,"

NEW YORK present day

Tony swiftly walked through the double doors of the avengers compound  and into the living areas, to find his daughter Bethany, walking back and forth happy sitting on the couch next to her.

"Beth," Tony said opening his arms and slightly quacking his pace to embrace her in a tight and comforting hug.

"Oh, oh my god dad!" Beth said relived to be with her father. "Persephone! Dad where is Seph!?" She asked scared.

After hearing of the bombing Beth had a panic attack, she had been getting them a lot more recently and hadn't told anyone yet. She rushed out of the cafeteria and raced home only to find her father had already took off to Vienna. Happy found her though, and for the past 24 hours he had been convincing her things were okay, and that Seph is fine.

What settled her nerves though, was seeing her dad come through those doors. However, noticing Seph wasn't with him mad ever worried.

"Bethany Stark, you sister..." Tony tired to figure out how to word his next sentence carefully. "Your sister is now a fugitive" he said ashamed his daughter could be capable of such things.

Bethany didn't believe him for a molment, her brain thought back to yesterday at lunch when she was convinced that Seph wouldn't sign the accords. It all made sense.

"Dad," she tried but he interrupted her.

"I know, I know Beth, she chose this..." he said looking off for a moment. "She told me she wanted to help" Beth watcher her father closely. "It's just a shame she didn't want to help us" he said looking back down at his daughter shaking his head.

"Wait is she safe? Like is she going to be okay?" Bethany asked.

"I honestly have no idea, she's with Steve, and I'm pretty sure she's with the soldier too," he said speaking poorly of Bucky.

"Soldier?" Beth asked confused.

"The winter soldier, he supposedly-"

"Set off the bomb" Beth finished for him. Tony looking at her serious and sighed.

"All right, pack your things you can come with me," he said turning around and pulling out his phone to check the time.

"Go where? What? Dad what are you talking about?" Beth asked walking over towards him as he slowly walking forwards still staring at his phone.

"To Germany, you are coming with me," he said clammy turning to face her. She stepped back a tad, she was so used to rejection and staying on the jet.

"Like coming with you? Like to fight?" She asked shocked.

"Listen, I'm not a fan of this decision, so don't make me regret it. Besides we're gonna need all the help we can get," he stated.

"Why? Why do you need all the help you can get? Who are we fighting?" She asked more demanding this time.

"The Secretary of State gave me 36 hours to find Barnes and bring him back, alive," Tony answered. "Let's go, chop-chop, we got one last stop to make," he said moving his hands to rush Bethany along.
