LAGOS present day
Natasha pulled the tinted black BMW behind an old brick building somewhere around the outskirts of town. before putting the car in park, she glanced over to see Persephone sleeping next to her, her knees pulled up to her chest, and her head slumped against the window. Nat pulled the keys out of the ignition and opened her car door to be greeted by a pair of blue eyes.
"Hey Nat! how was the drive?" Steve asked his hands in the pockets of his brown leather jacket.
"It sucked, taking a car on a boat!..." she shook her head eyes wide. Steve smirked and looked down at his feet. "Also, Seph snored the whole time!" Nat said throwing her arm behind her gesturing towards the sleeping ball in the passenger seat behind her. Steve looked up, and over at Persephone just now noticing her.
"How was the ride?" Sam asked stepping out of the dark shadows behind Steve and over towards them. Nat gave him a playful look and rolled her eyes. "Where is the freaky girl?" Sam asked looking around to find Seph.
"Sleeping," Steve said turning his head back to acknowledge his friend.
"Wake her up..." Sam stated calmy. "Wanda's inside. Let's go."
Nat walked over towards the passenger's side and opened the door. Persephone immediately woke up, at the loss of contact between her and the door. Nat smiled and held back a laugh, "Rise'n shine" she said. Seph rolled her eyes, and then covered them with her hands, blocking out the street light from above.
Steve walked around and over towards them, while Sam stayed put. "What time is it?" Seph asked with a quiet raspy morning voice. Steve looked down at her and then at the watch on his wrist.
"4 am," He stated calmly before reaching down and helping her out of the car.
Once inside, Persephone seemed more awake. following behind Nat, and walking next to steve, she found herself, in an apartment complex overlooking the dull sunrise over Lagos, in Nigeria.
"Okay, Nat, meet Wanda at the coffee shop down the corner and stay put" Sam ordered looking at the tablet on his suit. Nat rolled her eyes and headed off to change. Seph watched Nat walk away. She then turned back around to face Steve, who was looking at an article laying on the table in front of them.
"Is this who we are after or something?" Seph asked looking down at the article too.
"Something like that..." He passed for a moment "It's Rumalo, brock, he was working for hydra, and turns out he didn't go down with the rest of them." he said Seph nodded her head searching Steves's face for emotion. "we are here to stop him from taking Pem particles,"
"Pem what?!" she asked.
"Doesn't matter, we just needed you in case things go south" He said calmly looking up at her.
"Things go south? What the hell are you planning on doing?" she asked. Steve could tell she was confused. "Let me call dad, he might be able to help more," she said reaching over Steves's shoulder to grab her bag.
"No!" he said jumping in front of her. "You can't call Tony," he said. Seph rolled her eyes and looked up at Steve,
"Why? he sent me, here," she said annoyed. Steve looked around the room and tried to find his words.
"Persephone, Tony didn't send you here," he said ashamed with his words. Seph took in what he said for a moment.
"Wait, what?" she asked. Steve took a deep breath and saw Sam walk towards them.
"Look, your dad is busy, and we need someone to match the face DNA in the Pem particle chamber," he said fast.
"Wait, Wait," Seph said holding up her hands. Steve went silent and looked at her warily.
