~CHAPTER 16~

BERLIN AIRPORT, a few hours later

Bucky sat the whole way to the airport in silence. he would listen as Steve and Sam shared short conversations but for the most part, they all sat in silence. Turning into a parking spot on the large parking deck, Bucky looked over at Seph. she passed out shortly after they began the drive here. stirring slightly he remained watching her. not in a creepy way, but in a calm quiet way. In her drowsy state, she slowly lifted her head from the window brushed the curls from her face, and then rested her head on Jame's shoulder. he froze, Seph who was now falling back asleep nestled her head against Buck. he still couldn't move, he didn't know what to do. No one, not even an officer, has touched or given the slightest comfort even if it wasn't meant directly for him. he took a shaky breath as Steve and Sam got out of the car. trying to think but failing Buck threw his head to the side as Persephones car door began to open. He quickly shoved himself over to the other side of the car as steve lent down into the car and shook Seph awake. Bucky opened the door and rushed out of the car his cheeks flushed and his heart pounded. he remained leaning against the side of the car while Seph woke slightly and stood with Steve as the van next to their car's door opened.

"Steve," Clint said as he walked around the side of the car and shook Cap's hand. "Seph, how are you?" Clint said opening his arms and hugging Seph. she smiled

"I'm okay, where Wanda?" Seph asked looking over his shoulder as Wanda approached them.

"Hi, Seph," She said slightly quiet but a big smile was plastered on her face. Seph rushed towards her to hug while Sam came up behind Steve.

"Did you get the new recruit?" Steve asked. Clint nodded and opened the side door of the band revealing a man sleeping across the seat.

"Oh, what time zone is this?" The man asked tiredly. he jumped out of the van and his eyes opened wide.

"Cap- captain America?" He said reaching fast to shake Steves's hand. Steve smiled and they continued shaking the hands. "I'm shaking your hand too long, aren't I?" He said still shaking his hand. Steve gave him a reassuring smile and pulled his hand away.

"I know you," the man said pointing to Wanda, she smiled at him. "Oh and I know you, you're great," He said towards Seph she grinned and shook his hand.

"Scott, focus," Steve said drawing his attention.

"If you do this, we're under the law. are you sure you want to do this?" Scott shook his head and took a deep breath.

"Oh no I'm sure," he said. looking around his eyes locked on Seph. "Wait, Aren't you Tony's kid?" He asked. She hesitated before nodding her head. Bucky watched closely keeping himself behind the car away from everyone else. Scott shrugged his shoulders right as the airport announcements went off.

"What was that?" Sam asked looked over at Bucky, who was still behind the car.

"They are evacuating the airport," He stated calmly. Seph and Buck made eye contact and she gave a nod listening to him. He wondered if she even knew about what happened in the car earlier.

"Stark," Cap stated. "Suit up," he finished they all left to go put on their suits.

SOUTH SIDE OF THE BERLIN AIRPORT present day

"Mr. Stark, are we there yet?" Peter asked for the 15,000th time. Beth smiled but was dying on the inside.

"Bethany shut the kid up," he said from the front of the quinjet. Peter looked over at Beth as she was adjusting her Suit.

"Dad, are the suits necessary?" She asked annoyed looked over at him.

"Do you, or do you not want to come with?" He asked. Beth stopped complaining.

"Mr. Stark-"

"Beth!" Tony yelled. she rushed over and sat next to Peter.

"Hey beth, do you know what we are getting ourselves into?" He asked her she sat crisis crossed and leaned her head back against the wall.

"No, No clue," Peter said now slightly concerned.

"Yeah same," She said sarcastically. Petter nodded his head and looked over at Beth as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Are you okay?" He asked softly. she opened her eyes and looked at him.

"I'm great just dreading this, you know it's my first mission I'm actually going out and fighting and well, I'm fighting my sister."

Peter watched her as she finished. "But it's fine she will come back to us, and you won't have to worry about hurting her. he said with hesitation lightly placing his hand over hers. she looked up at him and smiled before pulling her hand away and standing up heading towards the front of the jet.

they landed the Jet in a deserted hanger of the airport and all stepped out of the quinjet. Beth took deep breaths pulling her head piece down covering her eyes.

"Let's do this,"
