Bethany checked her phone for any new messages from Seph, seeing that her inbox was empty, she rolled out of bed, and over to her closet, sliding one of Persephone's Sweatshirts over her tennis skirt, she then threw on her shoes and headed out of her room.
Beth grabbed a piece of toast from the counter walking swiftly into the living room, to gather her belonging from last night, where Banner was trying to show her how to do trigonometry.
"Hey Bethany?" Pepper asked walking into the Living room staring at her tablet.
"Yeah," She asked glancing over her shoulder for a split second before continuing to pack her book bag.
"Did you join the Science Decathlon team?" she said confused. Beth paused for a moment, and then smirked,
"Oh um...yeah I did," She said finishing throwing her bag over her shoulder.
"Well, Why? when?" Pep started interrogating her. Beth threw her hands up in surrender and rushed past her again grabbing water in the fridge, just then, Tony walked in.
"hey Beefamy," he said staring closely at his phone,
"Hey dad," She said stopping for a moment to lean against the counter,
"You know, your sister told me to tell you, to not wear her clothes," Tony said pointing at her sweatshirt. Beth sighed and shook her head.
"It's fine, I gotta go to school," She said leaving the kitchen and out the door,
Once Bethany made it to school, she greeted her friend MJ at the front of the building.
"Hey Beth, how was your weekend?" MJ asked looking up from her book,
"Oh um... it was-"
"I don't care," MJ interrupted, Beth smiled sarcastically and shook her head.
"Yep," She said a small smile lifted her lips from her friend's humor.
Once Beth reached lunch, she was bored out of her mind. Sitting down slumping into her seat at the cafeteria, she noticed Peter looking at her concerned.
"What's wrong Beth?" He asked using his hand to rest his chin. Bethany smiled and looked at him for a moment making sure the coast was clear, she whispered to him.
"Persephone isn't home," She said.
"Yeah, we know that. she told us to take notes for her," Ned said listening in on their conversation.
"Well, I'm worried, Nat went to take her to the signing of the accords, but I don't think..." She whispered, Peter, raised an eyebrow and Leaned in closer,
"Well, I don't think she was for the accords" she finished,
"Yeah I mean it's been all over the news," Ned said very interestedly in their conversation.
"Well, If Nat is taking her to the Signing in Vienna, she has to sign," Peter said trying to take away Beth's nerves.
"Yeah, But Steve isn't, and I know my sister," Beth said Peter stopped to think for a moment before he could respond to beth the TV in the cafeteria turned on,
"This just in, Bomb in Vienna Australia has gone off, killing 11 people, including Wakanda's king Tachaka," Bethany looked shocked, and she tried to swallow, but her face went pale. looking at the footage she could see fire, rubble, and ambulances taking care of civilians,
"We can't locate a suspect, but security footage captures this image," the TV flashed an image of James Buchannan Barens across the TV. "They claim the Winter Soldier could be back," Peter looked at the TV confusion, fear, and disbelief on his features.
