"Papa? Where are we going?" You asked, staring up at him.
He cleared his throat, running a hand through his disheveled hair. "It's a surprise, my dear."
"But Mamma wanted us to be home quickly, remember?" You pointed out, hugging your stuffed fox close to your chest.
"You won't be seeing Inko anytime soon, Y/N."
You cocked your head to the side. "...What about Izuku?"
He shook his head. Finally, he stopped walking, and knelt down to look at you. "I haven't been completely honest with you, dear. You've a very important role to fulfill, Y/N."
And so, he told you the truth.
The truth of the quirk you'd just developed, the truth of his past, the truth of the battle between All for One, and One for All.
Then, he told you who you were meant to defeat.
That day, your dream of being a hero was thrown out the window.
You were born the daughter of a villain who went by the name of All for One.
You'd gained his quirk.
You were forced to be his successor.

"-there were many casualties-" Inko dropped the plate she held, her eyes going wide. She exhaled a shuddery breath, and Izuku gasped.
"M-Mom? W-weren't Papa and Y/N th-there?"
