Scene 7

Context: You, Shoto, and Izuku are part of the Big 3, (much to Katsuki's anger), and you're introducing work studies to the new first years. You've long since embraced your quirk. (Because it's your quirk, not his.) This is the Epilogue.

~...~

"I'm sure you've all heard of them, but for todays class, the Big 3 of UA will be speaking to us. Come on in."

"Hello. I'm Shoto."

You snorted 'Vague much?' you whispered. The heterochromatic boy shot you a soft glare.

"Uh- H-Hi! I'm Izuku Aizawa, and my hero name is Deku!"

Ever the anti-social ones, these two were.
It came as a shock to you that they even introduced themselves.

You sighed, stepping forward. "Hey there. Y/N Aizawa. I go by Infinity."

Murmurs filled the room, to which Shouta shut down immediately with only a glare.

"Yeah, you heard right. This caterpillar over here-"

"Oi."

"--Is our dad."

A student in the back spoke up. "You're the daughter of a villain. And so is that green-haired bastard. How the hell did you get into UA, much less become part of the Big 3?"

Shouta opened his mouth, most likely to expel the kid for discrimination, but you stopped him.

"Hold it, Dad. I can handle this."

Shouto flinched. "Y/N, maybe you should-"

"Oh, shut it, Sho."

You walked forward, "Listen kid. Yeah, I was raised by villains. Y'know what else?" You loomed over the boy, a dark expression crossing your features as you leaned down.

"I was tortured, beaten, starved, and practically forced to do things my entire life. So maybe you should take your head outta your ass and look around. Not everything is black and white."

The boy grit his teeth. "Yeah? Well, how do we know you're not still a villain?"

You hummed, smirking.
The room went cold.
The boy shivered.

"You're interesting." You said, finally standing up straight. "I look forward to how far you'll go, kid. But for now, a piece of advice." You turned, moving to walk away as the temperature continued to drop.

You turned your head ever-so-slightly, narrowing your eyes. "Fix that damn attitude of yours, kiddo. Otherwise, you won't get very far."

The smile returned to your face. "Anyway-" and the temperature returned to normal. "Work studies, right?"

The class gaped at you, and you laughed.
Shoto sighed, shaking his head.

Izuku sputtered, "That was a little too much, Y/N."

Innocently, you cocked your head. "Yeah? He's a little like Bakugo, dont'cha think? Moving on!"

The class continued with few disruptions, ending with a question that you'd answered right away.

"What's the most important thing to keep in mind as a hero?"

"Well-"

You interrupted Izuku.

"Do your best." You said, scanning the room. "Be your best."

You hesitated, before continuing. This time, your voice was quiet, but had a hint of urgency in it.

"Life isn't fair. And it really isn't kind, either."

The first years were shocked at how your mood had changed so very quickly.

"So, kids, as heroes, take it upon yourself to make it so that it is fair. Someday, things will change for the better. But for now, go beyond."

You raised a fist in the air, grinning widely. "Plust ultra!"

....

Life isn't fair.

It certainly isn't kind, either.

Take it upon yourselves to make it so that it is fair.

Because, Someday, things will change for the better.

But for now...

Go beyond.

Plus Ultra!

Because that, my friends, is what those like us do.

Sincerely,

~Infinity

And with that, my friends, Infinity draws to a close. This was a long journey, and I'm sorry that it ended early. Either way, thank you all for sticking with me.
Now, for good time's sake, all of you, say it with me now...

Go beyond.
PLUS ULTRA!

Signing off, for the last time,
Jupis.

("Goodbye!")
