You couldn't help the smile that burst across your face as you saw your best friend — whom you hadn't seen in weeks — standing in the abandoned building the two of you always met it.
"Hey, kid!"
You ran forward, smirking.
She threw a punch, and you slid under it, knocking her down by kicking the area behind her knees. She grinned, looking back to you as you stood. "You've gotten better, Y/N."
"Yeah?" You panted, catching your breath from running all the way here. "That damn Shigaraki stopped being lenient with my training. You're too predictable now, Seven."
"Oi, I'm your superior, you brat. Don't forget, I'm the one who started training you before your dad started sending me off on missions more often." She ruffled your hair. "What's with the bag, huh? Were you doing grocery shopping or something?"
"More or less. I was just picking up some new hair dye. Anyway, forget that. Where've you been?! You just disappeared for two months without saying anything, Ven!"
Seven sighed, climbing up to the roof of the old building, you following close behind. "Kid, you and me both know that my jobs are not meant to be repeated."
You huffed. "Fine."
"I heard from Kurogiri that you got a new assignment. What is it?"
You chucked a pebble off the roof and into the nearby lake, watching as it floated to the bottom. "I get to play hero."
Seven winced. "Yeah? That's rough, kid."
You blew your hair out of your eyes. "Try to be a little sympathetic, would ya? My old man is still threatening my mom and brother and-"
Your eyes went as wide as dinner plates.
"Kid?" Seven bumped your shoulder. "Why'd you stop?"
"Midoriya..." You murmured to yourself.
Seven arched a brow. "Yeah, your surname. What about it?"
"Oh, holy shit!" You scrambled to your feet, running a hand through your hair. "Oh my fucking god, Ven, I literally met my twin brother on the street earlier today!"
"You... what?"
"I..." You opened your mouth, but closed it.
You did this multiple times; you were simply so shocked that you had no idea what to say. Finally, "He grew up without me..." Your voice broke.
"Y/N?" Seven called, rising to her feet.
You turned to face the only friend you'd made in all these years. "Seven, my brother grew up without me." Your eyes were glassy with unshed tears."Oh, kid." She reached forward to hug you, but you flinched away.
Even if you trusted her, even if Seven was one of those people who you would normally let touch you, moments when you were as weak as this were moments you strayed away from any contact.
"S-sorry. I'm just- ...sorry...""You've got nothing to apologize for, kid."
Quickly, you picked up your bag, "I'll see you around, Ven." gave a broken smile, which she returned with a wave, and you left.

And so, the next evening arrived, and you pulled on your villain suit, which comprised a black and gray bodysuit, complete with a black hood, black mask, and purple lenses to hide your identity.
There were holsters on each side of your hip to hold bo staffs, specially made by you. Usually, you brought a bag along with other weapons, but this time, you'd decided to leave it at the bar.
