BOOM!

A loud explosion shakes the city. Citizens run for safety as buildings collapse in the distance. The police are desperately trying to keep the people out of harm's way as the battle in downtown rages on.

Some civilians look up at the tornado of wind and debris hovering above the city.

In the center of that whirlwind are two people who look, almost the same. The only thing different is the colors of their eyes and hair.

The black-haired teen snarls at the other, raising his hands and bringing them down. On his command, a large swirl of wind and shrapnel came down to pelt Izuku.

Izuku raises his hands and raises a barrier just in time to reflect the dangerous bullets. However, the shield begins to crack from the sheer amount of attacks.

Izuku grits his teeth and puts more energy into holding the only thing protecting him. In his focus, he leaves his back open to attacks.

Akuma quickly exploits this and kicks Izuku into a building.

The teen tries to stop his fall, not wanting to hurt the fleeing citizens. He's mostly successful and with his momentum, he darts back into the whirlwind.

Akuma laughs as his 'brother', taunting him. Izuku ignores this and, mirroring Akuma, attacks him with the debris surrounding them.

Unlike Izuku, the black-haired teen doesn't bother to shield himself. Instead, he moves forward, blasting the shards of rocks away from him as he throws himself on Izuku.

The pair begin trading dangerous blows. Each more powerful than the last, but neither able to gain the upper hand.

The shockwaves from each dodged attack blasts buildings apart. The people below are forced to flee the scene.

"You should really be ashamed of yourself!" Akuma yells over the sounds of rushing wind, "All of these people who died because of you, I mean they could have-"

"SHUT UP!" Izuku screams, sending a powerful blow to his twin.

The attack lands, despite Akuma's best efforts. He's blasted into a building which sends even more debris flying into the air.

Izuku slams into him, pushing Akuma further into the now falling building.

"The only one to blame here is you! You will never hurt these people again!" Izuku snarls, raining down blow after blow.

Akuma, taken by surprise from the earlier attack, can do nothing but attempt to block the worst of the attacks.

He tries to flip their positions, but unlike AFO, Izuku isn't weakened in the slightest.

The building is falling down around them as they near the bottom floor. Izuku grabs onto his twin's head as they fall through the last floor.

A large explosion, from the force, blasts the (remaining) walls from the rubble that was once a skyscraper. Izuku is also blown back, regaining his balance quickly.

Akuma coughs blood and manages to sit up. Izuku growls and attacks him once more, not wanting to waste a second.

Unbeknownst to the hero, Akuma slips something into his hand using a storage quirk. As Izuku charges in for another barrage, Akuma raises a gun and fires.

Acting quickly, Izuku dodges the bullet only for something to pierce his arm. The teen's eyes widen in surprise and he feels his skin ripping apart.

He feels the bullet, or rather capsule, explode and rage in his blood. He quickly realizes what it is and falls to his knees. Screaming in pain.

Akuma watches for a moment before bursting into laughter.

"YES!" He shouts, couching a lungful of blood after the exclamation, "Look at you! You don't have a quirk now! You're nothing but a quirkless, NOTHING just like you've always been!"

Akuma taunts, his victory secured. Though it had been a long and hard battle, there isn't any way for Izuku to continue the fight.

Izuku gasps as he stares down at his shaking hands. His body trembles with horror.

Akuma moves forward slowly, in order to torment his next victim. Izuku tries to move, to run, but he finds himself frozen to the spot.

He thinks of the people relying on him, his friends, his family, the innocent couple who had perished. People he knew and those he didn't.

How was he supposed to save them?

How was he supposed to help them?

The questions pound themselves against Izuku's skull making it impossible for him to think of anything else.

As Akuma grins and wraps a hand around Izuku's neck, these thoughts fill him.

He can't save anyone now.

Akuma's hand begins to squeeze and he continues to berate Izuku, though the words fall on deaf ears.

"You're going to die Izuku!" Akuma sings as he laughs.

Izuku feebly raises his hand, gripping Akuma's in an attempt to get air.

As he feels the darkness begging to consume him, he hears something.

"...ku....Iz...Izu..."

A rush of voices suddenly envelops him. He hears his mother saying how proud she is. He hears his friends congratulating him. He hears laughter and words of encouragement.

A spark suddenly grows into a flame.

"IZUKU!" someone shouts over the cacophony of noise, "You will always be my hero!"

He doesn't recognize the voice but it sounds so familiar.

"Live!"

The flame consumes him, and the hand gripping Akuma's suddenly finds strength.

He rips away the black-haired teen's arm and, conjuring a weapon, stabs his twin through the chest.

"H-how?" The boy breathes as blood blossoms from the wound.

Izuku breathes heavily and smiles, "Goodbye."

Instead of answering he murmurs the word and twists the blade.

Akuma starts to scream curses and threats, falling to his knees.

"I can't die! I can't! I-" He gasps out a breath, "I-"

His eyes grow dim as the blood stops flowing.

Akuma lies in the middle of a ruined city, dead.
