I walk into the homeroom, feeling like shit but happy. Since I've gotten maybe ten hours of sleep total for the past eight days, I'm extremely tired.
"Woah! What happened to you Midoriya?" Denki asks.
The rest of my classmates look over to me.
"I second that," Ojiro says.
"I've been saying up to study." I lie, since finals are coming up it's a perfectly plausible excuse.
"That's not good for you." Says Momo concernedly.
"I know, I'll get more sleep tonight," I say smiling at their worry.
'I'm glad I have people who care so much.'
I sit in my chair as the class starts. Aizawa looks down at his paper and begins to talk about the finals. I zone him out, thinking instead of my plan. I and Dabi have been working for about a month on our plan. We've been gathering any information we can get our hands on. All the while, I've been taking out small-time villains as Phantom. No one big, just those who'll give me a harder time in the future. My alter isn't well known yet but I don't mind that. I've been making sure nobody sees me and I've been using several different quirks that can't be traced back to me.
Soon enough, Aizawa leaves the room. Mina and Denki immediately begin to freak out.
"I haven't studied at all!" they yell.
I sigh a bit and ignore the chatter.
Then I hear Momo say, "I can't help at all with the practical though."
I blink, 'The practical, huh...'
Just like before, Momo creates a study group, inviting everyone to her house.
"Hey guys," I begin, everyone turns to look at me, "What if we made a study group for the practical?"
"Ooh, that's a good idea Deku-Kun!" Ochaco says happily.
Shoto nods in agreement.
"I can't believe I didn't think of that!" Momo exclaims.
"That's smart and all but won't it be useless if we don't know what the practical will be?" Tsu says.
"I've been thinking about it, and I think that the practical will have something to do with duels. Maybe we'll be fighting each other." I say.
Since everyone knows me to be analytical, it won't look strange If I get this right. Everyone nods, agreeing to my words. We decide on training at Momo's house since she has the most space. Not everyone wants to go but, surprisingly, Todoroki agrees to come.
**Time Skip**
I walk down the hall, looking for a familiar purple-haired student. I had given my friends an excuse so I didn't have to eat with them today. I have more important things to do.
After some thought, I realized, I haven't made any attempts at friendship towards Hitoshi. In my time we became brothers after Aizawa adopted me and him.
I leave the main building and walk the grounds to his favorite spot. As my gaze falls on the familiar tree, I see Hitoshi underneath it, eating from a bento. I quickly make my way towards him.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" I ask.
He jumps slightly and looks up at me.
"What?"
"Can I sit here?" I ask again.
He blinks in confusion, "Uh...I guess?"
I smile and sit next to him, "You're Shinso Hitoshi from class 1-B right?"
"Um yeah," he said awkwardly, "and you're that dude I fought, Midoriya or something?"
"Just call me Izuku."
"Then you can call me Hitoshi...if you want."
I grin, "I know we don't really know each other but I was hoping we could be friends."
He stares at me for a second, in disbelief, "You do remember what my quirk is right?"
"Brainwashing," I say with a nod.
"Then why do you want to be friends?"
I rub the back of my neck, pretending to be nervous, "Well...to be honest...I want to know more about your quirk."
"Wait, what?!"
"If you don't want me too-" I say quickly, beginning to apologize.
"No, no that's not it." He cuts me off.
"Then what is it?"
"It's just...well," He shifts and looks down at the grass, "my quirk is best suited for a villain and..."
He trails off and stiffens, expecting me to reject him or something. I nearly growl. I hate the discrimination he had to go through just because of his quirk.
"It's not a villain's quirk. I think it's better suited for a hero."
"You do?" Hitoshi says in shock.
I nod vigorously, "After all, with your abilities you could easily dissolve a hostage situation, save someone from committing suicide, and a bunch of other things."
I move my hands animatedly as I talk.
"I-I never thought about it like that," he says in shock.
I grin widely, "So, friends?"
He smiles back at me, "Yeah, friends."
