CHAPTER 11: RIVERBANK

So in this chapter, many of you are wondering what happen to Raimon after hearing about their captain leaving the Raimon for good. Then I decided in this whole chapter it’s for Raimon Eleven only. PREVIOUSLY: BEACH HOUSE

“You should have dodged it.” Says Ryuu reaching for the ice pack from Yuoko, gladly gives it to him. “Now! Look at you, red as a tomato.” He directly puts the ice pack on his face without a warning, causing him to scream at the sudden cold touching his red face.

“Okay! Okay! My bad! I’ll be careful next time.” pulling out the ice pack on his face, pouting and his eyes are about to cry, doesn’t like what Ryuu did. Tenma smiles, as he watch them happily, missing this kind of scenery a lot.

“We should head back inside, it’s getting dark. We need to prepare dinner for tonight.” says Osamu to the brunet, went beside him, cutting his thoughts. Tenma averts his gaze to his senpai, nodding as an agreement.

Osamu turns around facing the team. “Minna! Let’s head back now! We still have to prepare for the sleepover tonight.” The team nods their head as an approval then they went to help the managers on cleaning up and they now went inside the beach house, preparing for the sleepover tonight.

TSURUGI’S POV

It’s Saturday afternoon. The air is warm and it is nice to have a walk around the town for awhile. Yesterday, it’s really been hard for us Raimon lately until now that is why Endou kantuko gave us a week break to freshen up our minds.

As I continue walking, not caring where I will go, just letting my feet drag me somewhere. I was too deep in my thoughts, thinking about at the sudden away of the brunet.

FLASHBACK

Class is over for today, thankfully we don’t have homework to do but we soccer club still have training. I don’t feel like training today but I don’t have much off a choice, we have a match in 5 weeks.

As I enter the clubroom, everyone is here looking at me, already finished changing, I guess I’m the only one is left. I walk towards my locker not having an eye contact with others. I put all my things away inside my locker and start changing my uniform.

When I’m finished changing, I felt hands at my right shoulder. I turn around and saw Shindou-san, worried all over his face.

“I’ll be fine, I just need some time alone for now.” I reassures him so that he won’t get worried much more but as for me I’m not so sure. Shindou-san gives me a slight smile and nod, “Let me know if you need a friend.” Then he walks away.

Minutes have past, we already started our training as usual but this time its different. No life and energy, around the field. It’s a total opposite that, we really use to.

We are not in harmony. Our passes doesn’t connect, our shoots doesn’t go in to goalpost, crushing/stumbling at each other, not  paying attention at the our surroundings which makes the ball gets easily stolen by others and our rhythm is in havoc. We truly can’t hide our composure, the sudden away of our dearest and stubborn captain is still what we all think about.
