CHAPTER 25: SHARDS

PREVIOUSLY: CONFUSION

The brunet faces him again, straight-forward. "To put it simply, I hate Raimon."

Arakumo's captain steps back, can't accept what the brunet is saying. He knows deep down that the brunet didn't mean it, or is he?

"Taiyou. I'm not anymore the Raimon's happy-go-lucky captain, you know. This time, I stand in front of you as the true captain and the ace striker of Shizen Genki, Arion Sherwind!"

Taiyou was taken back at his statement, more likely his name. He heard that name before, and he only knows one team has that name of the player. If it's what he thinks it is.

Suddenly, Tenma went near to his ear and whispered something to him. "If you want to know the truth, go find about the Tempest Deity. I think you already heard about them, hmmm?"

He backs away, notices the surprised looks of Taiyou. He smirks, satisfied with what he sees today, and starts walking away. Taiyou only just stares at him. 'Is this your true you. Tenma.'

"And one thing." Taiyou nows all ears at the brunet. "You can't easily defeat us. Shizen is much stronger than you think. Forget that we met each other and never tell anyone about this, especially Raimon."

And that the brunet totally left in the sight of the sunshine captain. 'I knew it. Even though you said those cruel words, you care about Raimon. You are still the Tenma we know.'

Shizen is back at their favorite seafood house on a chilly and peaceful night, celebrating their victory over one of the strongest soccer teams in the country, Arakumo Gakuen. Also, and perhaps most importantly, their dearest brunet has awoken from his coma. As a result, they are having a Barbeque night.

Yajima Yousuke, the owner of the seafood house, along with his wife Narumi, closed the restaurant early for the team. They cook all of their favorite foods exactly as asked by the young brunette. The Shizen team expresses his gratitude to the couple with joy.

They had been enjoying their Barbeque nights on the beach for hours. Everybody having a good time together. They happily sing along while eating, as usual. Of course, Ryuu is the one who plays the guitar, but somehow the bluenette manager occasionally does as well.

The party is already beginning to wind down. The Shizen soccer team settles down and enjoys the cool night, while the rest of the team converses quietly.

In silence on the dark side of the shore, distant from where the team was, the young brunet is alone by himself. He is just finished conversing with his teammates and is feeling a little worn out. He was enjoying the moon above him, which shone brightly beyond the peaceful sea. Though... His mind is on something else.

"At moments like these, you sure really enjoy being alone and viewing the moonlight to calm yourself."

The brunet's gaze is drawn to the person. He responds with such a pleasant smile. The person takes a comfortable seat beside him, and the two of them relax with a touch of nature. The waves were softly crawling to the shore. In the quiet night, the moonlight reflects on the sea, providing its radiance. The wind blows gently in the direction of the two teenagers, carrying the scent of the sea breeze with it. It makes them feel cold but it doesn't bother them.

"Clearly, you're still thinking about something else that's bothering you," The brunet lowers his head, can't really argue with it. They were all too familiar with him. "That's why you've always gone out to sea by yourself."

"Is it about you and Amemiya lately, isn't it?" Tenma keeps silent for a moment, his head hidden under his legs.
