Two weeks had passed since Chenle had talked to Jisung. Two weeks had passed since Renjun started avoiding his soulmates. Two weeks had passed since Doyoung asked Taeil out on a date. One week had passed since Lucas had asked for Jungwoo's number.

Jisung had become reserved and quiet, he only ever left the dorm to go to class. He would watch Chenle walk away from him and avoid him all the time. Every time he made eye contact with Chenle, he could see the sadness in his eyes and it broke Jisung inside.

The first week, Jisung tried to fix things with Chenle and talk to him, clear things up, but Chenle never gave him an opportunity and instead ran away from him over and over again. The second week, Jisung grew extremely sad and gave up trying, he accepted the fact that he had lost his soulmate.

Jeno had become angry and frustrated by all the chasing he was doing. Jeno was tired of Renjun always avoiding them and running away from them. He didn't like that both Chenle and Renjun were now avoiding them at all costs. Jeno was mad that Jisung had begun to close himself off to the world and he was even more pissed off by how it all made Jaemin feel.

Jaemin had become very sad for many different reasons, the biggest reason being Renjun. He was upset that his soulmate didn't want him, he grew self-conscious and heart broken at the thought that Renjun didn't want him. When Jisung began to shut him out, Jaemin became even sadder, he was finding it hard to get up in the mornings.

They say that getting rejected by your soulmate is the most painful feeling in the world and although Renjun and Chenle hadn't officially rejected them, it still left like they had and it was painful. Mark watched it all happen and if he was any closer to accepting his soulmate before, he sure wasn't anymore. He was also mad at Johnny's friends for acting the way they were acting.

Mark was so mad that he had complained about it to Johnny many times but Johnny said that this was something they all had to get through on their own and that he wouldn't get involved. Johnny made some very good points so Mark decided that he wouldn't get involved either, he would be there for his friends when they needed support or encouragement but he wouldn't take things into his own hands.

Mark was currently at the park with Lucas, they had invited Xiaojun and Hendery but they were busy. The two of them were just walking around the park and laughing to their heart's content. They were enjoying each other's company and they decided to take a seat on a bench by the water fountain. They watched couples walk by holding hands and kids play with the fountain then return to their parents.

"How are the others doing? With their soulmate situation and everything." Lucas asked.

"They aren't taking it well at all. Jisung has become quiet and reserved. Jaemin is sad and self-conscious. Jeno is mad and frustrated and I am annoyed." Mark sighed.

"You know, they always had something nice to say about soulmates. They were always trying to convince me that finding your soulmate, having your soulmate was the best feeling in the world. They were always so excited to meet their soulmates and now that they have, they're miserable.

Even you, the most confident person I know is second guessing himself. You told me that you haven't texted, called or looked for that Jungwoo guy because you're scared. Never in my life have I ever heard the words I'm scared leave your mouth but this guy has you doubting everything. I stand by my words, when I meet my soulmate I am rejecting them on the spot.

I don't want any of this." Mark ranted.

Lucas sat there and let Mark's words set in.

"Just because we get a few letters on our wrists doesn't mean life is meant to be a lovey-dovey fairytale, sometimes soulmate bonds are meant to end in pain and agony." Mark added.

"How would you know though." Lucas finally spoke. Mark looked at him confused and waited for him to elaborate.

"How would we know? I haven't given Jungwoo a chance because of my own insecurities not because it's not meant to be. It is meant to be and that's why he is my soulmate. Chenle hasn't given Jisung a chance and Renjun hasn't given Jeno and Jaemin a chance so their journey hasn't even started yet.

Yes, you're right that sometimes soulmate bonds end badly but not before you give it a chance to end badly. You will never know if your relationship was meant to end in disaster because you never gave it a chance to succeed." Lucas explained.

"You know, every once in a while you say something really smart and breathtaking." Mark chuckled.

"What do you mean? I always sound smart!" Lucas laughed.

"You should text him. You said we have to give it a chance to see if it'll end in disaster so text him, show him you're taking a chance." Mark smiled.

"You can be so sweet and encouraging sometimes." Lucas cooed.

"Shut up!" Mark rolled his eyes.

"Does this mean that you're going to give your soulmate a chance?" Lucas asked.

"No, it doesn't. I don't want a soulmate and I don't need one. I am happy with the way my life is right now, I like being alone but you're right. You have to give this guy a chance and I hope Renjun and Chenle decide to give them a chance as well." Mark smiled.

"You're so cute!" Lucas cooed and squished Mark's cheek which annoyed the other.

"Whatever, just text that Jungwoo dude and stop complaining about your sudden lack of confidence to me because it is really annoying." Mark complained.

Lucas took out his phone and searched for Jungwoo's contact number. When he found it, he couldn't help but smile at the name and little note he had left. He had named himself, Junguwu and right below his name he left a small note. 'I hate it when people call me Junguwu but for you, I'll make an exception. :)'

Mark looked over at Lucas and watched the goofy smile on his face and wondered what could have possibly caused it. He looked down at Lucas' phone screen and read the small message that was left for Lucas only. Mark found himself smiling as well, he found the act to be really cute and he wouldn't mind if his soulmate did the same thing.

He shook his head furiously and tried to get the thought out of his head but it was stuck now. Lucas had texted Jungwoo and had gotten an immediate response so he was now lost on his phone. Every text message he received made his heart beat faster and his smile grow wider. While Lucas was lost in a conversation with his soulmate, Mark was stuck in his thoughts.

He began to wonder what his soulmate was like, who was the person he would be rejecting was like. Would they be like Renjun and have bad history with soulmates? Would they be like his friends and be excited to meet their soulmate? He looked over at Lucas' wide smile and looked down at Lucas' screen.

'Why does everyone call you Junguwu?'
'Because I'm so cute and make them uwu all the time :))'
'Really?'
'Of course! I'm adorable, I'll show you.'

Mark read a brief section of their conversation and smiled once again. He wouldn't mind if his soulmate had the same energy as Lucas' soulmate.
