"I can't believe exams are finally over! I hate Midterm Exams, in my opinion, they're unnecessary." Haechan groaned.

"I am going to sleep the entire weekend and kill anybody who interrupts me!" Chenle shouted as he rushed towards his room. Haechan laughed at the younger's words and turned his attention towards the sulking older.

"You should talk to them. You've been down the whole week, you clearly have feelings for them so you should go after them." Haechan sighed and leaned back on the couch. He reached for the control and turned on the TV.

"I can't." Renjun mumbled.

"Why?" Haechan asked.

"I ran away from them. I always run away from them. I'm a self-sabotager. I ruin everything good in my life and if I were to be with them, I know that at some point I would intentionally ruin it." Renjun admitted.

"Then don't." Haechan responded dryly.

"What?" Renjun wondered.

"Then don't ruin it." Haechan repeated.

"Easier said than done." Renjun mocked.

"Renjun, stop being an idiot!" Haechan snapped. "Stop letting the past determine your future! You keep holding on to the pain we felt back then and you shouldn't. Put the past behind you and understand what's right in front of you. They've been after you, nonstop, for about two months. They haven't shown any signs that they're going to give up anytime soon, in fact they've told you on several occasions that they'll wait for you.

Even if you tried to sabotage your relationship, they would pull you right back. They don't care how many times you run away, they just want to be with you. They can help you overcome this issue. They're your soulmates for fucks sake." Haechan exploded.

"And if they don't stop you from ruining the relationship, you will always have me. I will always remind you that you're an idiot. I'll make you turn around and run back into their arms." Haechan's voice softened.

Renjun's eyes were brimming with tears as he processed all of his best friend's words.

"You told me, 11 years ago, that I should wait until a moment that makes me feel like the most important person in the world." Renjun sniffled.

"You still remember that?" Haechan whispered underneath his breath.

"I finally experienced that moment. Last friday." Renjun admitted. Haechan looked at him in disbelief but smiled lovingly when he noticed the tears running down his best friend's face. Haechan scooted closer to Renjun and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Then it's time. It's time to choose happiness." Haechan smiled.

"I'm scared." Renjun sobbed.

"I know but I'm right here. I always have been and I always will be." Haechan whispered lovingly.

"Not always." Renjun whispered. Haechan heard him but chose to ignore the comment, he didn't want to think about the past. Unlike Renjun, Haechan put all that pain behind him.

"You should go look for them." Haechan proposed.

"Now?" Renjun asked with fear in his eyes.

"No better time than the present." Haechan smiled. "Go wash your face, I'll go with you." Haechan added.

Renjun reluctantly got up off the couch and walked over to the washroom. He rinsed his face and took several deep breaths. While Renjun tried to calm his nerves Haechan waited in the living room. The TV was on but Haechan couldn't focus on the drama that was currently playing.

Haechan's mind was roaming in dangerous territory. Renjun's comment, not always, had Haechan remembering his life before he met Renjun and Taeyong. His heart began to ache, his eyes began to water and his mood changed drastically but he forced a smile once Renjun exited the washroom.

"Let's do this." Renjun sighed.

"I know what class they have right now so I'll accompany you but I'm not staying." Haechan blurted.

"How do you know what class they have?" Renjun pondered.

"Chenle." Haechan answered.

"How did Chenle know?" Renjun probed.

"Jisung." Haechan disclosed.

"Makes sense." Renjun ended.

...

The two walked back to the bus station and waited for the bus. They still had 45 minutes until the class ended and the bus ride only took 20 minutes. They rushed towards campus and Haechan led Renjun up the stairs. Renjun halted in front of the stairs, he was beginning to second guess himself and he no longer knew if he wanted to go through with this.

Renjun looked down at his feet and began to overthink, he took one step backwards but felt a hand take hold of his. He looked up at a smiling Haechan.

"Come on, we don't wanna be late. You idiot." Haechan beamed. Renjun smiled and let Haechan pull him up the stairs. They walked through the empty hallway and came to a stop in front of a classroom that Renjun recognized, Calculus.

They waited outside the classroom for what felt like ages and finally people began to rush out of the room. Renjun's heart was pounding and he was sure that everyone around him could hear it. He watched many people run out of the classroom but none of them were the people he was looking for. His disappointment only grew when they didn't come out and Renjun looked down at his feet with a small pout.

"Jeno! Jaemin!" Haechan called out. Renjun's heart began to race once again and he was afraid to look up.

Jeno and Jaemin looked over at the person that had called out their names and they were surprised to find Haechan standing there with Renjun. The first thing they noticed was Renjun and Haechan's intertwined hands. Jaemin couldn't help but glare at their hands causing Haechan to chuckle.

"Renjun wanted to speak to both of you." Haechan smiled.

Haechan squeezed Renjun's hand, signaling him to look up and Renjun did. His worried eyes met Jaemin and Jeno's confused ones.

"Hey." Renjun spoke.

"Hi." Jaemin and Jeno responded.

"Well, this is awkward. I wasn't going to stay for this part so I'm gonna go." Haechan announced. He turned to Renjun and leaned in to whisper something into his ear. Jeno and Jaemin didn't like this but they bit their tongues and waited for Haechan to leave.

"It's time to choose happiness." Haechan whispered into Renjun's ear.
