🌃

After walking into an empty room, closing and locking the door, Jeno finally put Renjun down on the ground. Renjun was fuming and his eyes were sending daggers into Jeno and Jaemin. It was a scary sight to witness but both, Jeno and Jaemin, knew that this was the only way that Renjun would listen to them.

"What is wrong with you?!" Renjun snapped. He walked over to the bed that was in the center of the room and aggressively sat down. Jaemin smiled at the sight of an angry Renjun pouting and crossing his arms as he sat on a white fluffy bed that was surrounded by plushies.

"We just wanted to talk to you without you running away from us?" Jeno explained.

"I think you could have gone about that way differently." Renjun spat back.

"We're sorry but-" Jeno began but was cut off by the older.

"Just tell me what you wanted to say." Renjun grumbled.

"We want you to give us a chance. We know that accepting us isn't easy for you but we are willing to do anything and everything to make you happy." Jaemin smiled. Renjun was taken aback by Jaemin's statement.

"We will never feel complete without you. We were bound together by fate and there's definitely a reason that you need us in your life and a reason why we need you." Jeno continued.

"We don't know what you have been through but we can assure you that we will never let you feel sad, heartbroken or lonely. We would never hurt you." Jaemin finished.

Their words ignited something in Renjun and he couldn't help the few tears that escaped his eyes. He tried his best to keep himself together but when Jaemin sat next to him on the large bed and placed his hand over Renjun's, he almost lost it. His heart was aching and he was so desperate to accept both of them but something was holding him back.

Renjun wasn't sure what it was that was keeping him from saying yes, from finally giving them a chance.

'A moment that makes you feel like the most important person in the world.'

Renjun had been waiting for that moment from the very beginning, since the day he met Jeno and Jaemin. Today, he felt it. He felt like the most important person in Jeno & Jaemin's life and it was an exhilarating feeling so why was Renjun still holding back.

Renjun forced out a laugh and the next words that left his mouth left his heart aching worse than it had ever ached.

"That's a very cheesy and heartfelt gesture but I have no interest in being your soulmate. I don't know how many times I am going to have to walk away from you for you to understand that I don't want you in my life." Renjun sobbed.

Renjun got off the bed and walked towards the door but was stopped when Jeno yanked his arm back and swiftly pulled him into a hug. He caressed his hair and held him tight as he whispered something into his ear: "We can wait for you and we will be here when you want us."

Renjun couldn't hold it in anymore so he shoved Jeno away and ran out of the room. He ran down the stairs, all the way to the first floor and ignored all the stares he was receiving, right now he just wanted to drink.  He wanted to push away the pain and drown his sorrows with alcohol like he had done many times before.

...

Jeno comforted Jaemin as he cried into his shoulder.

"He's in so much pain and we can't do anything about it." Jaemin cried.

"I know." Jeno responded.

Jeno couldn't help but feel heartbroken as he replayed the scene that had just unraveled. Renjun had broken down in tears right in front of him and not being able to comfort him or make him feel better made Jeno mad. He wished that his soulmate didn't have to go through this. He didn't know why Renjun was in such a painful position but he hated everyone that caused him to feel so much pain.

...

"Yangyang! What's up?" Mark greeted.

"Nothing man. My friend is actually looking for one of his friends. Have you seen him?" Yangyang asked.

"Wish we could tell you but we don't have a name." Jaehyun laughed as he took another gulp from his drink.

"Renjun. Jeno and Jaemin's soulmate." Haechan informed as he walked towards the group of friends on the second floor.

Mark's mouth had fallen agape at Haechan's entrance, Yuta witnessed this and couldn't help but smirk at Mark's reaction. Yuta nudged Mark playfully and Mark quickly regained his composure, going back to his usual serious look.

"Oh yeah, he went back downstairs not that long ago." Jaehyun slurred. Haechan nodded and was about to leave the group when Yuta stopped him.

"What's your name?" Yuta asked.

"Haechan!" He beamed. Everyone around him smiled at the sight of his smile, aside from one person and Haechan noticed this.

"Why are you here? At the party, I mean." Yuta questioned.

"Same reason as you, right? To have a little fun." Haechan smiled. Yuta loved his response and offered him a high five, which Haechan took.

"I like you!" Yuta cheered.

"Doesn't everybody?" Haechan praised himself.

Jaehyun and Winwin laughed at his comment while Yuta continued to shout 'I like you!' repeatedly and enthusiastically. Mark found the situation to be pretty annoying and something deep down was telling him to walk away from this Haechan guy. Mark would have walked away, if he wasn't currently winning against Winwin.

"Well, I should go look for Renjun." Haechan announced.

"No, you should stay." Yuta whined and Haechan chuckled at the request.

"Just let him go find his friend." Mark snapped at Yuta. Mark's annoyance was evident but Mark wasn't sure why he was so annoyed by all the compliments his friends were giving Haechan.

"You look like the type of person to kick a puppy." Haechan pouted. "You should smile more." Haechan showed him one of his breathtaking smiles.

Jaehyun, Winwin and Yuta froze in their spots at the words that had just left Haechan's mouth. Mark didn't seem to notice that Haechan's words were very familiar to him.

"How about you be the puppy." Mark retorted.

"Huh, that's funny. You just said the exact same words that are imprinted on my wrist." Haechan giggled and Mark froze. He looked down at his wrist and gulped.
