Someone Like You

chapter twenty one.

It was late. The party had started 5 hours ago but it was just as lively as it was at the beginning, if anything, things were getting crazier by the hour. The first hour was calm but during the second hour people were dancing on top of furniture and were already completely wasted, one of those people being Yuta.

In the third hour, more booze arrived which resulted in drunk people jumping into the frat house's pool and Jaemin participated. On the fourth hour, a gorilla arrived and got attacked by a banana, Mark found the entire thing hilarious. On the fifth hour, people were jumping off the roof and into the pool, one of those people being Jaehyun.

When his friends watched him jump off the roof they were terrified but they were relieved that Jaehyun landed in the pool. That didn't stop them from slapping the hell out of him for doing something so dangerous.

"I just jumped off of a roof, do you think I care!" Jaehyun laughed.

Yuta looked at his friend with concern and then shared a worried look with Winwin. They would have to talk to Jaehyun once he was a little more sober, which would mostly likely be tomorrow.

The people Johnny was most concerned about had finally arrived and Jisung was the first to notice. He walked over to the five people standing near the doorway. Chenle saw him coming and a wide smile slipped past his lips, this didn't go unnoticed by Jisung or Chenle's friends.

"Hey, you arrived a little late." Jisung smiled.

"Why would we show up early?" Chenle chuckled.

"Yuta was up dancing on furniture like a stripper in the second hour. Jaemin jumped into the pool at hour three. A banana beat up a gorilla in hour four and my friend just jumped off the roof." Jisung sighed.

"You need new friends." Taeil commented and Jisung chuckled at his comment.

"Can I go jump off the roof!!!" Haechan shouted enthusiastically.

"Shut the hell up! You're not even allowed to jump off a couch." Renjun scolded.

"Oof, rough crowd." Haechan sighed and walked away. Renjun followed close behind him, just to make sure he didn't head for the roof.

"Well, I'm going to go get wasted, remember you tomorrow!" Jungwoo waved goodbye.

"Remember you tomorrow!" Chenle shouted back.

"I should follow him because we all know how he is when he drinks." Taeil announced and chased after Jungwoo.

"And then there were two." Jisung mumbled.

"What do you usually do at Johnny's parties?" Chenle asked.

"I hang out with Shochan while everyone else gets drunk." Jisung chuckled.

"Who's Shochan?" Chenle asked curiously.

"Shotaro and Sungchan. They're in our literature class." Jisung answered in amusement.

"OHHH! The cute couple that's always holding hands and giggling in the back of the class! I know them, they're the cutest, I wish I had that." Chenle smiled but immediately realized why he shouldn't have said that.

He looked over at Jisung with worried eyes but was surprised to see Jisung looking at him with such a beautiful smile and tender gaze. He stared into Jisung's eyes and could basically feel the love radiating off of him.

"You will have that." Jisung said bashfully.

Chenle blushed heavily and giggled at Jisung's response. Jisung took a hold of Chenle's hand and intertwined their fingers. Chenle and Jisung's hearts were racing rapidly but neither of them paid attention to them.

"Have you ever talked to them? They're pretty nice people, they're my sober buddies. They don't like drinking that much." Jisung informed.

"I do. I do drink that is. I actually declared one day of every month, Cocktail night." Chenle laughed.

"Then you can drink, I'll take care of you." Jisung offered. Chenle's blush deepened and he wondered why Jisung was being like this. The answer was that Jisung had already had a cup of alcohol and was a little buzzed but still perfectly aware of his surroundings.

"Jungwoo, we literally just got here." Taeil scolded.

"Hey, I heard what you did the last time you went to Johnny's party." Jungwoo giggled.

"That's different, I had just found out my boyfriend was cheating on me." Taeil scoffed.

"Look, Taeil. I've been working a lot lately and my editor is down my throat about my latest story. He says that I can't write a stupid love story and that I need to learn how to because he wants a love story. He wants me to write a damn love story when I've never experienced love. I'm under a lot of pressure and I'm sad so let me drink." Jungwoo babbled as he took another sip of his third cup.

"We literally just got here and this is about to be your fourth cup, that's really sad." Taeil mumbled.

"No, it is not. It just means that I can handle my alcohol really well." Jungwoo defended.

"Jungwoo?" A familiar voice called out his name. Jungwoo looked up to see Lucas smiling at him.

"Yukhei!" A goofy smile slipped past Jungwoo's face. Taeil took this as an opportunity to leave and let Jungwoo experience the love he so desperately wanted to feel.

"Take care of him for me. I have to run to the restroom, I'll be back soon." Taeil begged. Lucas simply nodded in agreement.

"Thank you! Don't let him drink too much because he gets a little out of control when he gets drunk." Taeil warned. Lucas nodded to signal Taeil that he understood. Taeil smiled and made his way through the crowd that seemed to double every time he looked away.

"Do you want to drink with me?" Jungwoo smiled.

"Yeah." Lucas responded. He found it extremely difficult to say no to Jungwoo's smile so he just agreed to have a few drinks with him.

Lucas promised not to let Jungwoo get too drunk but he just couldn't say no to him so instead of saying no, he made sure that he didn't drink much so that he could look after Jungwoo. The thought of taking care of a drunk Jungwoo made Lucas' heart race.
