Renjun's head was throbbing, he felt like curling up into a ball and burying himself to avoid all sound, light, noise and human interaction. He wanted to stay under his bed sheets for eternity, even the lightest tick of the clock on his wall was driving him insane. He must have committed murder in his past life because someone began banging on his door and proceeded to open and slam the door.
He felt a body throw themselves onto his bed and the abrupt movement of the bed made him run out of bed and into his restroom. Every substance that had been in his stomach was now in his toilet. He heard an evil and loud laugh causing his headache to bring tears to his eyes.
"I hate you so much." Renjun rasped. His voice was scratchy and basically gone.
"Well! I didn't tell you to drink did I?!! I went and did the exact same thing to Chenle!" Haechan spoke abnormally loud. Renjun winced at the noise that bounced off the walls.
"Please, please, whisper." Renjun whined weakly.
He looked over at Haechan and he was smiling brightly and there was an evil glint in his eyes. Renjun noticed where the other was standing and before he could protest, Haechan had pulled the curtain open, allowing so much light into his bedroom.
"I despise you." Renjun spat.
"You promised to tell me exactly what happened last night, before I found you on the bathroom floor surrounded by alcohol bottles and with a red, puffy face." Haechan mentioned.
Renjun furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and wondered what in the world Haechan was talking about. The more he tried to remember, the worse his headache would get.
"I need some painkillers." Renjun whispered.
Haechan sighed before shutting the curtains and leaving Renjun's room to retrieve the bottle of painkillers he had given Chenle.
"What is he talking about?" Renjun whispered silently.
'We want you to give us a chance. We know that accepting us isn't easy for you but we are willing to do anything and everything to make you happy.'
'We will never feel complete without you. We were bound together by fate and there's definitely a reason that you need us in your life and a reason why we need you.'
'We don't know what you have been through but we can assure you that we will never let you feel sad, heartbroken or lonely. We would never hurt you.'
Renjun remembered.
He remembered what they had said to him and he remembered the mess he was in. The voices in his head weren't letting him think clearly and so he ran away from them, again. He groaned at the memory and wished he hadn't remembered because now he had to explain it all to Haechan. Then he would have to explain it all to Chenle.
He knew he would receive scolding from both of them.
...
Meanwhile, at casa Taeyong.
Jungwoo was regretting all of his life choices. He was dragged out of bed really early in the morning by an annoying Taeyong.
When Jungwoo arrived downstairs, he found Taeil & Johnny sitting on the couch holding a glass of water and their heads. They were obviously hungover but Jungwoo would bet everything that it wasn't as bad as his own hangover. Taeyong dragged Jungwoo towards the couch and the three of them prepared themselves for a loud scolding.
Taeyong has always been like the mom of the group. Taeyong learned early that he had to be responsible and protect the people he cared about most. He's been raising Renjun and Haechan since they were 9 and he's taken care of them very well.
When they all met, Taeyong took it upon himself to look after all of them. He helped as best he could and eventually, he mastered the art of being a mom. Everyone loved him for caring so much and whenever Taeyong would scold them, they would sit and listen because they knew he was doing for a good reason.
"There's so many things to say." Taeyong whispered.
The scolding began. Taeil, Johnny and Jungwoo were in pain due to their headaches but they stayed still and listened to every word Taeyong said. By the end of the long lecture, Taeil was extremely embarrassed, Johnny was slightly guilty and Jungwoo felt extremely guilty. Taeyong told him that he had hurt Lucas' feelings while he was completely out of it.
Jungwoo went back upstairs and attempted to call Lucas but it kept going straight to voicemail. After five attempts, Jungwoo decided to leave a voicemail and he apologized for being so reckless and insensitive. Jungwoo spent the rest of the day curled under a blanket with pain in his chest as he imagined Lucas' dejected expression.
...
Renjun was explaining last night's events to Haechan and Chenle. Jungwoo was sobbing silently under his blanket. Taeyong was replaying his conversation with his soulmate and smiling uncontrollably. Mark, Jeno and Jaemin were currently going through last night's events with Jisung and Jaehyun was telling Yuta and Winwin all about how he finally met his soulmate.
Saturday passed, Sunday passed and Monday came. Exams had finally arrived and everyone spent an entire week in the same situation. Jungwoo still hadn't heard from Lucas. Renjun was still pained by last Friday's events. Haechan couldn't stop thinking about his soulmate. Taeyong wondered what his soulmate's name was. Johnny spent the week with his loving boyfriend and Chenle spent the entire week texting Jisung.
