( Blossoming Beginnings )

As Celest, now eight years old, looked out of the car window at their new home in Japan, a sense of unease and nostalgia filled her. "Do we really have to live here?" she questioned, her gaze fixed on the modest, old-fashioned house that stood before her. It was a stark contrast to their previous life in America. Her mother tried to reassure her, saying, "Come on, sweetpea, I know you'll enjoy it here. It's not like our old home, but you'll learn to love it." Despite her mother's comforting words, Celest couldn't help but feel a bit out of place.

"Tia, I know it's hard, but your mother is right. This will be great for all of us here in Japan," her father chimed in, flashing her a warm smile. Reluctantly, Celest nodded, not wanting to argue against the move. "Okay," she finally conceded.

While her parents busied themselves with contacting work and managing the moving process, Celest decided to explore their new home. Every room she entered felt cold and plain, making her miss their old home even more. She counted the rooms and hallways, eventually returning to her own. Sitting down on her sleeping bag, she retrieved a small notepad and pen from her bag, hoping to jot down something positive about the move.

However, no matter how hard she tried, Celest couldn't find the words. Her thoughts remained jumbled, and frustration built within her. Then, her mother's voice broke her concentration. "Tia, are you in there?"

"Yeah," Celest replied as her mother entered the room. Her mother suggested getting takeout for dinner, and Celest agreed. But her mother sensed something amiss and pressed further. "This isn't about the house or food, is it?"

Caught off guard, Celest couldn't hide her true feelings. "Well, something's bothering me," she admitted, mentally sweating at the prospect of discussing her concerns. Her mother, with a devious smile, approached her, signaling the beginning of a tickle fight. Both of them burst into laughter as Celest surrendered, playfully admitting defeat.

Once their laughter subsided, her mother pressed her for the real issue. Celest hesitated but eventually confided, "I guess... I just miss America and our old home."

Her mother's face softened as she empathized, responding, "I miss it too...How about this? We'll make this place feel more like home. I noticed an empty spot outside that would be perfect for a garden. We can plant trees and flowers together to make it feel more like home. How does that sound?" Celest's face brightened, and she eagerly nodded.

Her mother also mentioned a nearby family, and Celest agreed to meet them. After her mother left the room, Celest returned to her notepad, trying to express her excitement for the new garden and their efforts to make their new house feel like home.

Meanwhile, Celest sensed a presence nearby and noticed Bell peeking out from her closet. She approached Bell, who appeared curious about the new surroundings. Celest acknowledged the differences and nodded, understanding Bell's curiosity.

After a playful interaction, Celest ventured outside, stepping on the heels of her feet and smiling, even though the surroundings weren't quite as expected. Bell joined her, and they shared a moment of joy. Celest playfully grabbed Bell's hand and was delighted when Bell uttered words for the first time.

With newfound enthusiasm, Celest decided to explore the garden her mother had mentioned earlier. As they ventured into an old greenhouse filled with wilting flowers and dying grass, Celest wondered if it could be restored. Bell responded positively, and the room filled with a warm, gentle light as Bell's aura grew.

Their moment was interrupted when Celest's mother and a woman named Miss Holly entered the room. Startled, Celest tried to explain her presence. Miss Holly introduced herself and immediately put Celest at ease. They exchanged pleasantries, and Celest agreed to meet Miss Holly's son, excited at the prospect of making a new friend.

As Celest stood there, her earlier unease began to subside, replaced by a glimmer of hope for her new life in Japan. The idea of making a new friend brought a genuine smile to her face.
