( Speculation )

I felt somewhat satisfied with the answers I'd received, but my curiosity was far from satisfied. Holly changed my bandages, clearly worried about the injuries I'd sustained. I spent a while comforting her, assuring her that everything was alright. Afterward, I sat at the table, my head resting on my cheek, listening to Holly bustling about in the kitchen.

"Hey, Celest, do you wanna stay over for dinner?" Holly's voice reached my ears, and I pondered it for a moment. If my little brother Luke or my mom had asked me the same way, I shuddered to think what their reactions would have been. "Yeah, I mean, if you don't mind," I replied, and her voice filled with slight joy, which I'd expected since it had been a while since I'd eaten here. "Oh, it's no bother!" I smiled. "Alright, then."

I got up and walked towards the door. "I'll be back," I announced, and Holly replied with a simple "Okay."

Stepping outside, I took a deep breath, enjoying the fresh air. I adjusted the shirt I was wearing, tying it into a knot for a more comfortable fit. As I wandered around aimlessly, I unexpectedly bumped into Avdol. "Oh, hello there, Mr. Avdol," I greeted him with a sincere smile.

"Hello," he responded, his eyes shifting towards me with concern. "Oh, Mrs. Celest, are you feeling better?"

I nodded and took a moment to gather my thoughts. "I wanted to apologize for being snippy earlier," I said genuinely, my voice filled with sincerity. "I've been under a lot of stress and confusion today, and I didn't mean to take it out on you."

Avdol regarded me with understanding in his eyes. "It's alright, Mrs. Celest," he reassured me in a calming tone. "I can imagine that all of this is quite overwhelming and confusing. We're dealing with a lot here, and it's natural to feel a bit snappy at times. Just know that we're here to help you make sense of it all."

"So, I have questions, about what happened earlier," I began.

Avdol's interest was piqued. "Oh? What would you like to know?"

I took a moment to find the right words. "Where do these... stands come from? And how long have you had yours? I mean, your Stand."

I furrowed my brow as I thought, "I've had mine for as long as I can remember. She's been with me since I was young."

Avdol considered his response carefully, and I could detect a subtle shift in his demeanor. "Each of our Stands originates from within us, from our inner strength. People like us possess a unique ability."

I nodded, taking in his words. "How many people out there are like us, who can see us for who we are and our abilities?"

Avdol admitted, "That's undetermined. If there are more out there, they probably want to keep their abilities hidden from the rest of the world."

My attention wandered from his words to his Stand. I had one more pressing question, but it was difficult to find the right words to ask.

Sensing my hesitation, Avdol stepped in, saving me from my dilemma. "I'm sorry to cut our conversation short, but I have something I need to attend to. I hope we can talk more later and that I can answer all your questions, Mrs. Celest."

Relieved, I replied, "Yes, thank you."

As Avdol walked away, I remained there for a moment, deep in thought. "What have I gotten myself into?" I pondered. The question lingered as I turned back towards Holly's house, my hand on the door.

A change to Lukes Pov.

I closed the door behind me with a thud, walking into my room and gazing up at the ceiling. A heavy sigh escaped my tiny lips as I tossed my bag haphazardly to the side of my bed. Plopping down at my desk, I rested my head on my palm, deep in thought. My eyes wandered to an old photograph – one where I was much, much younger, maybe just one or two years old. Celest held me in her arms, but something about that picture felt strange.
