Chapter Nii-jyu-hachi: Accept Someone's Apology On A Small Issue

Historia's POV

"That's what happened." I finished telling them my story. They looked at me with curious and worried faces. "What's up with your faces?"

"N-nothing. I'm just glad that you're okay." Mina said and I smiled at her.

"Thanks. Do you have any questions?"

"How did the fire start?" Sasha asked.

"I forgot that there's a candle behind the door, so when I opened it, I hit the table where the candle is and it fell on a book." I said and then took a sip of my cappuccino. 

"And how did the cracks behind you and that shelf appeared?" She asked again.

"There's like a brick on the edge of a closet that I was checking. It fell when I suddenly closed its door pretty hard because I heard something loud behind me. And that something is the shelf. As to why it became like that, I didn't see how and why so I've no clue either." I replied.

"Is that really it?" Mikasa asked suddenly. I looked at her, confused. "Is that really how you… fell for him?" 

I didn't reply to her immediately. She's right that I fell for Eren that day, but I fell for him even harder this past 4 years for the things he did to me. I looked at her again before answering. "Yes, that's how." 

Mikasa just nodded before finishing her coffee. It's a bit awkward but I need to not let it go on. Annie is silently finishing her cake and Mina and Sasha are staring at me. Ymir though, it seems like she's in deep thought so I won't disturb her. 

"Why are you still staring at me?" I asked Mina and Sasha.

"I'm still curious. I know Eren is nice and all and also saved you, but is there anything other than those that made you love him?" Mina asked.

Now, how am I gonna answer this? I told them the things that made me fall for Eren the first time, but telling them the other reasons? I can't do that. "W-well, that's… uh, n-nothing."

She moved her face closer to me. "You sure?"

"Y-yes."

"Hmmm…" She looked at me deeply and I just nervously laughed. "If you say so."

Mina went back to her seat and Sasha's still staring at me. It looks like she wants to ask me something but is hesitating to do so. I'll just take the first talk. "If you want to say something, say it."

She blinked a couple of times before talking. "I'm curious about something. If, for example, one of us here gets too close to Eren, what are you feeling about it?" 

They all looked at me again. All of them have the same questioning look, as if they're the ones who asked that question. Though, it doesn't look like it was planned so I'll just answer them honestly. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't get irritated. I get jealous and mad of course. But I just hold it in until I've calmed down. Is that good?"

Sasha nodded before asking a question again. "Last one. Have you ever thought of confessing to him before?"

I got red in the face. I did think of confessing to him a lot of times, but never decided that I'll actually do it. I just imagine myself saying that I like him and then he'll say he does too and now we're dating. Still, thinking of confessing to him is something I'm too afraid to do. "Yes, I did."

"Did you do it?!" She suddenly shouted.

"D-don't shout. No, I haven't done it. Besides, I don't even think he likes me anyway." I blurted out the last sentence by accident and that got their attention.
