Chapter Otto: Moms Are Always The Scariest Beings On Earth

3rd Person POV

They've been on the road for 6 minutes and the kids are just talking with Hasegawa joining in from time-to-time. Their topic is mostly what happened at school and at Otose's pub. They're trying to avoid talking about their encounter with that strange man and in Mikasa's case, its about her being a couple with Eren. She'd be lying if she said she didn't have any imagination of it but she does wonder, what would happen if that comes true? She'd be happy of course. Happy that her first crush and hero became her lover. Another thought keeps invading her mind too. What if Eren is not the least interested in her? What if she found him dating another girl instead of her? Just the thought of that is making her tremble so she always distracts herself to keep her from thinking about it.

As for Eren, well he doesn't really care about it. He's too focused on achieving his goals first before thinking of things like that. Okay, maybe not since he already has such lewd thoughts even though he's still a 10-year-old kid. But point given. He still wants to pursue his goals first before really taking other things seriously. He now wants to become a Principal but becoming a soldier is still a possibility for him to pursue if things don't go well on his path to becoming a Principal. The topic about love, well he's too dense about it but he sometimes did thinked of him and Mikasa being a couple years later, but the more he thinks about it the more he feels weird since he considers her his own sister. He also thought of him and Armin being together and that excites him the most. Armin just has this aura that makes you want to love him so much to the point where you would consider dating him.

And Armin, he's not really concerned about that if he's being honest. He still has dreams he wants to achieve so he focuses on his studies more than anything else. The reason is that he wanted to repay his grandparents by becoming successful in his future life and doesn't want to disappoint them. He prioritizes what's best for him and those that are close to him before doing things that seem pointless to him. The way he's thinking might change since he's still young but considering his personality, i highly doubt it.

They decided to hang out at Eren's place first before sending Armin back at his house since they wanted to eat what they bought at the grocery store earlier. Eren was gonna say something to reply on what Armin said about the ocean when he noticed they're almost at his house.

"We're almost home guys." Eren said to them while looking at the window.

"Yeah, its been a long day. But i don't want it to end since i had so much fun today." Armin replied.

"Thanks to Otose-san and the others at school, i had fun too. By the way Hasegawa-san, are you sure you don't want us to pay?" Mikasa asked the driver.

"Don't worry about it. Otose-san is a good friend of mine and the doc gave me a lot of money the last time he rode here so just think of this as me repaying him." He answered her and pulled up in front of the Jaeger household. "Here we are kids. Tell the doc i said hi." The kids got out of the taxi and Mikasa and Armin waited for Eren at their front door.

"Yes, thank you Hasegawa-san." Eren said to him while bowing his head.

"Mm, i'll go now. See ya kids some other time." Hasegawa replied and drove off again.

Eren and the others went inside the house and expected his mom to be doing some household chores but instead was met with a very angry one.

"You kids, what did you think you're doing, staying outside for too long and making us worry about you?" A very angry Carla said to the kids and that made them tremble in fear.

"W-w-we t-took a detour because E-Eren s-suggested it." A scared Armin said and saw Eren make a betrayed face.

"Young man, is what Armin said true?" She turned to look at Eren and its now his turn to be a scaredy cat.
