The bar is totally empty and no one had entered for awhile. All I really want to do is go home hop in my bed, and get back into my history textbook, my favorite subject.

"Hey Daddy! It's 9:30! Can I begin to close up? It's a Thursday night, and no one has entered within an hour!" I yell to my dad, who was in his office.

"Yeah Allie! Clean the glasses, then wipe down the bar, then you are good to go!" He yells back to me and I'm glad he will let me go.

I begin with the huge stack of glasses, taking my time to wipe them all out, and set them all back on the shelf perfectly. I'm such a perfectionist.

I had about 10 left when I heard the tinkering of the front bell rigning, which told me that someone was entering. I groaned as my eyes flicked  to the front door, where a bright red headed boy with ocean blue eyes holding a guitar stood. "Hello! Can I get you anything?" I say to him as he walks forward, although I wish he would just walk back out.

"Um. Hello. Can I, can I speak to your manager?" he asks in a soft voice as if he is nervous.

"Yeah, I'll go get him." I smile sweetly at him as I go into my dad's office, who is my manager. My dad owns the bar.

"Someone wants to see you." I say as he turns to look at me. I shrug my shoulders, showing that I have no idea what the person wants.

My dad's face tightens, and almost looks frightened. "Wait in here Allie." He says as he walks out.

I stay in the office as Dad goes out to the boy, but I go to the door so I can eavesdrop on the conversation. I hear my dad sigh in relief as he walks over to the boy.

"Hello.. I.. I'm Ed Sheeran. I was wondering if you needed live music?"

"How old are you son?" My dad asks, skeptical of this boy.

"sev..seventeen." He says softly, and I begin to wonder why I have never seen him before, we should have been in the same class, until I graduated early last year, at age 16.

"Where did you come from? Why are you here in London?" my dad asks.

"I'm from Halifax. I.. want to become a famous singer and song writer."

"You drop out of school?" My father asks.

"Yes." He says confidently as if he wasn't ashamed at all, which I don't understand, I would be mortified if I had dropped out.

"Give me all you got." My dad says finally. The boy confidently wraps his guitar strap around his body and begins to sing. I can hear it from the office and my jaw drops instantly. His.. his angelic voice! I can tell that my dad is impressed.

After he stops singing, my father yells to me, "Allie! Come hear this boy sing!" I step away from the office and see the boys cheeks are the same color as his hair. Again, he begins to sing and I'm awed of hearing his raw and pure voice. When he finishes, my dad and I go into his office.

"I think he would be great here. Bring in good business! I've heard of him before, he has sung all around London." I say quickly.

"Yes, I don't know though." My dad says.

"Why dad?" I ask as he shakes his head.

"daddy! we've been looking for someone for ahwile! He's perfect!" As soon as the words are out of my mouth, my dad knows that I'm right.

"fine Allie." He smiles and we walk back out to where Ed is standing. "After Allie's begging," My cheeks turn red, "We decided we would love to have you here. we can work out the terms tomorrow, because right now, I've gotta lock up. Allie, you can finish the glasses tomorrow."

"Thank you sir so much!" Ed says happily and I begin to walk out, and Ed follows me, and holds the door for me as I leave. "Thank you Allie." He says to me and walks down the street.
