Ed keeps to his word and takes me backpack, "You know I wasn't serious about that." I state jokingly as we walk along the icy streets. He chuckles with me as he lazily throws it around his shoulders.
"I told you I would, and now I will." He says as he smiles. We walk with about a foot between us.
"Are you excited to perform?" I aask. He turns to stare at me with a serious face and then eventually breaks out a smile.
"Of course! I told you, it has been my dream to preform here ever since I have been in London. Never thought that I would actually have a shot at it, but here I am, an hour away from show time. Got my guitar and I'm ready." He says and smiles widely. His hand brushes my own and something inside me pulls me to take hold of it. Our fingers slowly interlock as he lightly pulls me closer to him.
"My hands are cold." I say quietly, as if to give an excuse as to why I grabbed his hand. He pulls our entwined hands into his hoodie pocket.
"Same here." He says cooly, as if he doesn't feel this magnetic pull. I look on the sidewalk that we continue walking down. His hand slowly warms up my own.
The walk wasnt much longer than that but we stopped just a couple feel before the door to the pub. We were face to face.
"Your nose and cheeks are red." He laughs quietly, as if it was to himself.
"So is your hair." I fire back and he chuckles out loud.
"As if I didn't know that." He smiles.
"I'll see you in about a half hour? Okay?" I say and gently pull my hand from his pocket. He easily lets go.
"See you then Allie." He says and watches me walk into the pub.
The place is swarming with people, who have all heard that Ed Sheeran would be here. Every table is filled, all with awaiting people. I push through the crowd and make it into the back, where I sign in, and start to put my stuff into my cubby. 'SHIT! Ed forgot to give me my packpack!" I mentally scream at myself. Now I'm going to have to ask for it back!
I shake away the horrifying thought, that I will have to beg Ed for it back, and go back out onto the floor. The place is packed, and my section is filled, which leaves me with no job, so i rub back to the back of the bar, and grab a bus tub so I can begin to clear away the empty glasses off tables.
The chitter chatter between the people is just a lull until the name Ed appears, then my ears pirk up, and listen to each and every word they say.
"He has the most angelic voice, sent from God himself. Makes up for his looks." A girl says dreamily.
"No way Katerina! He's so hot! His firey red hair must mean hes a firecracker in bed!" I laugh slightly at that one.
Soon, I have most of the glasses cleaned up, but the people sitting in my section have no motivation to move, which again gives me nothing to do. I go back into the kitchen, hopefully to find something to clean in there.
I wipe down the counter tops for a third time, and see that there is only five more minutes before show time. I walk back out onto the floor, only to see that the place is now packed like sardines, and this bar was one of the biggests in London.
I push my way around until I see my dad, "Dad! I've been here, my section is filled, and I wasnt here to take them. What should I do now?" I ask, hoping he will just let me go home.
"You will then tend to Ed's needs! I've never seen this pub so packed before!" MY dad exclaims excitedly and walks off into the crowd of people. I sigh and go to the front stage.
