"Hello." A soft voice whispers almost inaudibly behind me. I turn around, just to make sure they aren't talking to me, when I come face to face with Ed Sheeran. "Bailey, uh, told me that you would, uh, need another coffee..." He says, holding two large cups. I shield my laptop from him, since I was writing my novel instead of studying.

I smile up at him as he hands one to me. "Tell Bailey thank you." I say and turn to my textbook, as I don't want him to see I'm writing a story, when he decides to speak again.

"Mind if I sit here?" He asks. I shake my head although I really wanted to write. He sits across from me and smiles.

There is a little bit of an awkward silence before he breaks the ice, "So.. I am uh.. playing at your dad's bar tonight," he says and smiles.

"That's great." I say as I glance at my opened textbook, wishing that I could just go back in and lose myself within the information.

"Yeah. I never thought that I would have made it here. Playing at Peter's Pub. If only I could go back to the high school I dropped out of and tell them where I'm at now. They wouldn't believe me. Hell, if someone did that to me, I wouldn't believe them either. But yet here I am." A fire ignites in his eyes and I don't understand what it is... a burning passion.

"Well Mr. Sheeran, aren't you a fantastic person." I say smiling as he begins to chuckle.

"I wish I could agree to that, I'm actually quite boring." He smiles, his eyes are dancing.

"You call straying from the norm, with everyone believing you would fail, but yet, still coming out on top boring Mr. Sheeran?" I say.

"Not necesarily, just not that interesting. I'm a 17 year old boy who has dropped out of high school. I'm definitely looked down on for that, but hey, it is something I had to of done."

"I wish I had what you have Ed, a burning passion for what you want to do. I don't have that. I'm sticking to the plans that I've had in place since I was young, go to Uni to be a teacher. Even now, my life is a competition... my boyfriend... It's just one big competition, as if he's better just because he can afford college right away where as I have to wait a year. My dad only expects the best from me, nothing but the best. My mom passed away when I was young, so my dad wants me to follow in her footsteps as if she is me. It's a lot to handle." I ramble on and when I finally realize, I'm embarrased, "Sorry, I uh, didn't mean to ramble on." I say, my hand half over my mouth.

He smiles and places a hand over mine. "It's okay Allie." I look in his ocean blue eyes.

"You.. are lucky Ed okay. You get to make your own dream while I'm stuck on this roadway to hell. I would never hear the end of it, if I didn't go to Uni or if I didn't have good grades." I say as I throw my hands on my face, embarrased because Ed makes me open up my heart, "I'm sorry.. I havent told anyone." I whisper.

"Allie, I like listening to you talk." He whispers.

'No! I have Aubrey. Stop talking! Change the subject Allie! STOP.' I think to myself. "So Ed, why are you here anyways." I say gesturing around to the coffee shop.

"I've been working for Bailey for over a year. I've seen you here millions of times. Bailey is actually the one who told me to actually go talk to your dad. She promised me she'd throw in a good word for me to your dad." He says smiling.

"I have never seen you here Ed? Ever?" I say questioning him.

"That's because I only work in the back. I've worked here for a year or so. Can't make coffee for shit. I'm usually dishwashing or unpacking boxes and such. Not really useful here, but Bailey seems to love me, so I stay. Sticks me with a lot of the dirty jobs." He chuckles to himself.
