"I just don't understand why she would say those things to me" Jihyo states as she lays in Taehyung's arms, crying her eyes out.
Jihyo came to Taehyung after she had a massive argument with Y/N, not knowing what to do anymore. She was upset about the fall out with her best friend, never wanting something like that to happen.
Taehyung on the other hand was angry, angry at Y/N for saying such cruel things to Jihyo. She is supposed to be her best friend, why does she feel the need to take everything out on her and make her feel bad about herself in the end?
"You know, it was my fault" Jihyo suddenly says as Taehyung widens his eyes.
"I should have just listened to her, I should have been there for her" Jihyo states as Taehyung scoffs.
"But you were there for her Jihyo, it's not your fault that she takes that for granted" Taehyung states as Jihyo scoffs.
"She was so upset, I just said all the wrong things..." Jihyo says as she starts crying again.
Taehyung holds her tightly as he feels the anger within him being replaced with concern, concern for the girl he loves so dearly. He is just baffled about what happened, he never thought the two best friends could fight like that.
The way Jihyo explained Y/N screamed at her, how she wished she would have never met Jihyo and how much of a selfish and terrible person she was, all because she was trying to help her get through a rough time.
He is not sure what is going on with Y/N lately, but the two girls have been fighting a lot. He feels like there is something going on, but Jihyo says that's private and not her tale to tell, something he can only respect.
But how he is dying to get to the bottom of this, how desperately he wants the fighting to stop, especially because he can see it's affecting Jihyo. The two girls were inseparable, but he isn't so sure of that anymore.
"Just know, I'll always be here for you, no matter what happens" Taehyung states as Jihyo looks up.
"Even if things get out of hand and Y/N and I end our friendship?" Jihyo asks him as he frowns.
"What are you talking about-" Taehyung says but Jihyo cuts him off.
"I feel like she is done with me, like she doesn't want to be my friend anymore" She explains.
"If that happens, I'm sure either one of us won't be popular anymore, one will be blamed" She says with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"And that will be me, not that I mind it..." She says but looks down for a moment as Taehyung's gaze softens.
"But will you still want me if that were to happen?" Jihyo asks him as he gives her a soft smile.
