"You are unbelievable Jihyo!" Taehyung shouts as Jihyo runs after him into the garden.
It is Y/N's birthday and they have been celebrating the entire evening. It was her sweet sixteen and therefore, a special occasion. There were drinks everywhere and everyone was all dolled up, it was meant to be perfect.
Well, not for two lovebirds, who just couldn't let the evening pass without a little drama. Jihyo had been flirting with one of Taehyung's friends all night and Taehyung has had enough, jealousy getting the best of him.
"I mean, you were so shameless about it too, how dare you?" He asks her as he tries to find a quiet spot to be alone for a while.
"You are an idiot Taehyung! You brought this upon yourself" Jihyo stated as Taehyung halted his steps, shifty turning around with rage in his eyes.
"How dare you say that?? I did nothing wrong!" Taehyung shouted but Jihyo just scoffed.
"Oh but you did" Jihyo says as she comes closer.
"Don't you understand I was just trying to make you jealous?" Jihyo states as Taehyung frowns.
"Why would you have to make me jealous?" Taehyung asks her but the girl looks down in sadness.
"You haven't talked to me the entire evening" Jihyo stated as Taehyung's gaze softens.
"You didn't even give me a single glance" She says as she looks up with tear stained cheeks.
"The only one you have been looking at is Y/N" Jihyo says as Taehyung widens his eyes.
Yes, he may have been staring at Y/N the entire evening. It was her birthday and she looked incredible. It's natural all eyes are on the one who's birthday it is, besides, she looked great, he couldn't take his eyes off her.
Jihyo saw that and it made her feel insecure. All these years, Jihyo has stood in Y/N's shadow, after all, she is the more fun and outgoing one, prettier, smarter and overall just more loved by every single person in the school.
No wonder she takes him staring at her so close to her heart, she is insecure. She knows that if Y/N would want him, she could take him, there is no real reason for him to stay, after all, you would have Y/N.
"Perhaps I made a mistake dating you, perhaps you should have just dated Y/N instead" Jihyo said as Taehyung walked up to her.
"Don't say that" He said as he pulled her into his embrace.
"I wanted to date you, only you, there is no one else for me" He said as Jihyo sighed.
"Not even Y/N" He said as she looked in in the eyes.
"I love you" He said as Jihyo widened her eyes.
"I love you too" She said shyly as he pecked her lips, holding her close.
"I would never betray you, especially not with your best friend" Taehyung stated.
"I will only love you" He said as he looked her deep into her eyes.
