Smiling widely at the choice I have chosen, I can't be more happier. I heard a bunch of cheers from behind me and Y/n. I turned around and saw Steven and Connie cheering. "Did you sneak into the car?" Y/n laughed.
I laughed along as Steven and Connie nodded their heads. "I say we go back home. But I'll get some ice cream for us." I said smiling like I was before. I had planned for this moment since forever.
Flashback
"Do it! I'll help you. Don't worry." Pearl said. We are on a mission together. "What if I mess it up?" I asked, she shook her head. "How long have Ruby and Sapphire been together?" She asked. "Over 5,000 years." I answer.
"Have they messed up anything? No! She loves you I can tell. The way you both look at each other. Don't you think a mother knows her child? We might not be related but you have my word. Go do it!" Pearl gave me a speech.
I smiled and nodded. "I think we should continue the mission." I said, "right! You know how we're going to her family home? Take her aside and go for a ride together. Don't tell her what's going on. I'll help you with her ring. It's going to be okay Garnet." She said.
I nodded and began to focus on the mission again.
End of flashback
We got into the car and went to the nearest ice cream shop. "OH MY GOD THEY HAVE COOKIE CATS!" Steven shouted looking at the menu. I laughed and decided to get a twist. "Haha I understand. It's a fusion," Y/n laughed.
I laughed along with her as she ordered her ice cream. "I'll take a (your choice of ice cream)" she said to the lady. I smiled as Connie ordered hers. Y/n got her wallet out and I stopped her. "I'll pay." I said.
"No. You have spent enough money today I got this Garnet." She protested. I sighed in defeat and waited for the food. I handed the kids their ice cream then took a small bite out of Y/n's. She fake gasped and took a small bite out of mine.
"Payback." She laughed. "Fair." I said as we swapped ice creams. Steven and Connie were talking about Dog Copter as we headed into the car. Y/n took the AUX cord and decided to play music.
The first song I had no idea what it was but it was called 'Your New Boyfriend' by Wilbur Soot. Y/n was screaming the lyrics as I drive laughing. "I love that song!" She said laughing. "Any song requests?" She asked the kids in the back.
"Bad Romance by Lady Gaga!" Connie said. She immediately put it on and blasted it. Steven sat there confused, I looked through the mirror and gave him the same look that read ' I don't know what this is'.
We arrived back to Mr. L/n's home. Pearl sat outside with Mr. L/N. "I wanna see the ring even though I helped pick it out." Pearl gushed. Y/n stuck her hand out to show her the ring.
It was a simple ring but really pretty.

"Oh my god! I'm so happy for you!" Pearl gushed. "How'd it go?" Mr. l/n asked me. "It was amazing." I smiled. "Welcome to the family garnet." He said and hugged me. "I'm glad to be here." I replied.
