Monday, September 7th 2020. First day back after summer.
Jade
The first day back is always the worst. It isn't all that bad after. Walking through the front doors to Hollywood Arts, nothing seems different. Hang on... there's a blank locker. Meaning a new student. Great. Cant wait.
I dont get along with the new kids cos they're all scared shitless of me. Someone bumps into me.
"Hey! Watch it." I say.
"Sorry. I need to get to this guy called Lane to get my stuff. I was hoping you could show me where his area is."
The person is a girl, definitely the new kid. She has a guitar slung over her shoulder as well as a backpack. She's wearing these dungaree things.

"And why would i do that?"
"Cos i figured you've been at this school for a while and you knew where his office thing is. But i mean, if you're new too, that's okay. I didn't mean to assume things."
She seems worried about something.
"Go up those stairs, then the stairs to the left. The door has his name on it. You cant miss it." I say.
"Thanks."
She runs off. Cat walks over.
"Who was that?"
"I can only assume it was the new kid." I say.
We go to my locker. About 10 minutes later, someone bumps into me again.
"Watch it!"
"Sorry. I didn't mean to."
It's the girl from earlier.
"Did you find his office?"
She nods. I nod.
"You'll more than likely have Sikowitz. Just look for the drama room." I say.
I walk away. Cat follows.
In Sikowitz's class, the girl walks in holding a black bag. I think that has her guitar in.
"You must be Y/n. I'm Mr Sikowitz. Or just Sikowitz."
"Okay. Can i go put this in my locker? I just had music and didn't have enough time to put it back."
"See how fast you can get back."
Not even a minute later, she walks in through the door.
"New record. Sit anywhere." Sikowitz says.
The only free spot is next to me. So that's where she sits.
"Okay! Alphabetical improve. Y/n do you know what that is?"
She nods.
"Improvising something with the letters of the alphabet. Starting with the one given." She says.
"Well done. Now! Jade, Y/n, Tori, Andre Beck come up here."
Y/n wins the thing and we all sit down.
"Guessing you know a bit of stuff about acting." I say.
"Yeah. My parents have pretty much drilled acting into me." Y/n says.
I nod.
"I'm Cat." Cat says.
Y/n smiles.
"I'm Y/n."
Cat smiles. Then two are gunna be friends. I can already tell.
"If you wanna come hang out with us at lunch you can." Cat says.
I nod. She shrugs.
"I might do that. Depending on what i have to do at lunch." She says.
We nod.
At lunch, me and Cat sit at our table. We're just waiting for everyone to show up.
"So what do you think of the new kid then?" I ask Cat.
"She's nice. She's my friend. She helped me out in maths. And she's really good at playing guitar." Cat says.
"Who's good at playing guitar?" Andre ask.
"New kid. From Sikowitz's class." I say.
"Ah." He says.
Beck, Tori and Robbie turn up. Robbie sits next to Cat. Beck sits next to Tori. Some random girl pulls Andre away.
So I'm the only single one here. Y/n sits down.
"Am i at the right table? I dont wanna feel weird."
"Yeah you're at the right table." I say.
"Okay good."
"Hey Y/n?"
"Yeah Cat?"
"I was wondering if i could borrow you for an experiment. After school."
"Uh... yeah sure why not."
"Yaay! Tori can we do the experiment at your house?" Cat asks.
"Yeah. I'll show you where my house is." Tori says.
"I wanna see what this experiment is." I say.
"You can come too." Cat says.
I dont know what this experiment will be but i have a feeling its gunna be weird.
