Chapter twenty-eight

I grab a microphone and go on stage.

"Okay. What song do you wanna do?"

"Attention. The one by Charlie Puth." I say.

"Good song choice."

The song starts.

When Y/n finishes, the audience cheers. Extremely loudly. Y/n jumps off the stage and grabs her drink. She sits next to me and smirks.

"It's gunna feel so good when them stuck up Northridge bitches get what they deserve." Y/n says.

"Daaamn." Andre says.

"What? I hate Northridge people. They annoy me. So much." Y/n says.

I smile and shake my head. The girls go up and start singing. I can see Y/n, out of the corner of my eye, trying not to laugh.

"Dont laugh. Laugh later." I whisper.

She bites her lip and closes her eyes. When they finish, practically nobody cheers.

The manager goes up.

"All those for Hayley and Tara!" He yells, sounding excited.

One person.

"All those for Y/n." He says, sounding disappointed.

Everybody cheers. The girls walk over to us. They square up with Y/n.

"We won that. We sung better." The blonde one says.

"Tell that to all the people who cheered for me." Y/n says.

We finish our food and drag Y/n out.

"You won!" Cat giggles.

Y/n smiles and shakes her head. Cat jumps on Y/n.

"Easy!" Y/n laughs.

I smile.

When i get home, i see a note on the front door.

Please take care of my baby. Tell him, when he's older, that you're his mama. Not me. I'm sorry.

I frown. I hear a cry. I turn my head to the bushes and walk over. There's a baby boy in there. I lift him up and take him inside. I take him upstairs and lay hin on my bed.

I get home and lay down on my bed with a sigh. God i hate Northridge girls. My phone rings. It's Jade.

"Hey baby."

"Hey. I have a mega mega big problem Y/n."

"Why? What's going on?"

"How fast can you get to my house?"

"Depends on how desperate on a scale of 1-10."

"30."

"2 minutes."

The call ends. I grab my keys and run downstairs almost knocking my sister over on the way.

"Y/n! Easy! I have coffee! BOILING HOT COFFEE!"

"SORRY!"

I rush putting my shoes on and i put my phone in my pocket. I run outside into my car and drive to Jade's. When i get there, i bang on the door. It swings open and she yanks me inside. She pulls me up into her bedroom and there's a baby layed on her bed.

"I am so so so confused."

She passes me a note.

Please take care of my baby. Tell him, when he's older, that you're his mama. Not me. I'm sorry.

"What is this?"

"Someone left a baby at my house Y/n. And i dont know what the fuck to do. This baby is literally 2 months old and I'm 16! What do i do?!"

I hug her. She hugs back and sighs.

"What do i do?" Jade asks.

I pull back from the hug and lift up the baby. He giggles and i smile.

"We take care of him. Because his mom is incapable. We look after this baby no matter what. Leaving this baby the way he was wherever you found him is not the right thing to do." I say.

"But neither of us are capable." Jade says.

"I'm highly capable of looking after a baby. I mean look at his cute little face." I say.

She smiles.

"How do we tell our parents? The last time i checked, we cant exactly move out at 16." Jade says.

"I'll talk to them. I'm waaaay more convincing than you are."

"Hey!"

She swats my head. The infant laughs. Making me and Jade smiles.

"That funny?" Jade asks.

He giggles and starts trying to eat his hand.

"No no. You cant do that." I say.

I pull his hand out of his mouth.

"Does he have a name?" I ask.

She shakes his head.

"Oh great. We get the joys of naming a child. This is gunna be fun." I say.

She smiles.

"Who's he gunna stay with?" Jade asks.

We both look at him. He's trying to eat his hand. Again.

"No, mate, you cant eat your hand. Humans dont taste nice." I say.

I pull his hand out of his mouth.

"How exactly do you know that Y/n?"

"Pretty sure you were a baby at one point. Every child or baby has tried to either eat themselves or another kid." I say.

"Nope. I've never done that."

"Bulshit Jade." I say.

She rolls her eyes.

"I saw that."

"You were supposed to."

I smile and shake my head.

"You didn't answer my question though. Who's he gunna stay with?" Jade asks.

"He can live with me." I say.

"Are you sure? Cos i dont want you coming into school looking like gollum cos he's kept you up all night." Jade says.

"Okay first off, i wont look like gollum. I'll look like dobby. And second, i dont mind. I'll explain to my mom what's happened and we'll take him in." I say.

"Okay. But you're staying here tonight."

"Okay. That's fine by me. But i better go buy some baby stuff cos i think he's done a stink." I say.

"Oh god." Jade says.
