Chapter thirty-one

You

Jade leaves and then this little monkey finishes drinking his milk. So i burp him. I carry him upstairs and grab my computer. Then we go back downstairs. We sit on the floor in front of the couch.

"So, you little monkey, I'm gunna buy some stuff for you. And, we're gunna listen to some music." I say.

He makes a noise. I smile and shake my head. My phone rings.

"Yello."

"Hey."

It's Beck.

"Sup?"

"How come you're not in?" He asks.

"Oh... I'm babysitting." I say.

"Oh okay. Fair enough. Jade misses you."

"Tell her i miss her too." I say.

"Y/n says she misses you too."

"Miss you too Y/n!!" That's definitely 100% Jade.

I smile. Then the call ends. I look back at the baby and he's trying to eat his feet.

"Hey. Dont do that." I say.

I pull his foot out of his mouth. He whines.

"You cannot eat your foot you monkey. It's not good for you."

He whines again. I laugh.

"Dont eat your foot." I say.

I put on a playlist from spotify. First song that comes up is In Love With A Monster by Fifth Harmony. I love that song.

This little monkey stands against the sofa and starts to do that thing that babies do when they try dancing. I pull out my phone and film it. I cant help but feel like a proud parent right now.

Then he falls a little. Onto his ass of course. I send the video to Jade and then he starts giggling a little. I smile.

Babygirl:
He's such a cutiee!! I love that child. So much.
I think he looks like a Zack

Me:
Me too. I love him too.
Also Zack?

Babygirl:
Yeah. Or maybe a Luke
Zack or Luke
Or maybe even Max
Or Mike
Or Lewis
Oo! Oo!
Jake

Me:
Baby we cant call him Zack Luke Mike Lewis Jake. That's not possible.
We could put the names in a hat and decide that way.

Babygirl:
Good idea baby
We'll do that when i get home.

Me:
Okay baby.
See you soon.
Love youuu

Babygirl:
Love you too

I put my phone down and look at the little monkey.

"Hey buddy."

He looks at me and smiles. I smile.

"You wanna do something? Watch a movie?"

He smiles.

"Is that a yes?"

He crawls to me and hits my arm.

"What was the need child?"

He giggles and hits me again. I smile and shake my head.

"Stop it monkey. Let's watch a movie." I say.

I finish off buying the baby stuff and lift him up. We both sit on the sofa and watch Finding Nemo.

When Jade gets back, we do the name thing. I put my hand in the hat and pull out a piece of paper.

"What does it say?" Jade asks.

"Lewis." I say.

"Okay Lewis. Middle name."

I pull out another piece of paper.

"Mike."

"Lewis Mike. That sounds good." Jade says.

"Awesome."

My phone rings. My sister.

"Helloo."

"Hey. There's a shit load of packages here for you."

"Perfect. Be there soon."

I end the call.

"Welp. That's my cue. I gotta go." I say.

Me and Jade share a kiss. Lewis makes a noise. We look at him. He points at us and giggles. I smile and shake my head.

Then i leave.
