I felt responsible for Loki. Like he was locked up because of me. But with his magic in binds he wouldn't be much of a threat. So the next day, after sleep, I decided to sneak down to the dungeon and talk with him. He seemed really sad. And angry. And he couldn't hurt me anyway. I dressed in some dark skinny jeans and a white T-shirt. I put me on some sneakers and a black vest.
I passed Arthur on my way out. I told him I was going for a run. He didn't question it. Hunter was with Ashton again. They had been talking about safety. Not like we needed it anymore. Lucian was with Sarah in the hall. They seemed really concerned for my safety. I didn't need anyone cornering me so I turned the opposite direction. I really wanted to get to the dungeons unseen.
I decided to cast an invisibility spell. I began chanting. "Make the seen, unseen." And I wiped my hand in front of my face. I was now invisible to anyone. I headed down the hall into the dungeon. Down in the dungeon, two wolves stood guard. I decided a sleeping spell like I used with Brady, would be perfect. So I performed the spell, and the wolves fell over. I grabbed their keys and unlocked the door. Inside Loki sat confused. The door to his cell was open. And he couldn't see me.
"Who's there," he asked sitting up. He looked so sad. And now he was in fear. I loved not being able to be seen but he needed to know who he was talking to.
"Make the unseen visible." And I was visible to him.
"Oh, hello dear, come to visit have you," he asked. I sat on the other side of him. He looked at me confused.
"I know what you did, and I'm not afraid of you," I said. He was confused and a little weary of me.
"I m ow about all those people and Beth," I said. He cringed at the name.
"Whatever he told you, leave it, save your breath," he said looking away.
"I can't do that, and I think you know that," I said. He sighed and chuckled fighting tears.
"Of course I do, you're a do gooder, always wanting to do what you think is right," he said. I nodded. He didn't know me at all. And it was going to be difficult to show him how much I wanted to help with those binds on him.
"How about I show you, you can trust me?" I said. He looked confused. I then heard footsteps coming down the hall. I threw the keys to the floor outside of the cell and made my self invisible again. But only to outsiders. Loki could still see me. I told him to be quite. Ashton and Hunter walked in. I masked my smell with the dirt but they knew it was me.
"Loki, answer a question, and I won't behead you," Ashton said. Hunter agreed with Ashton. Loki watched the two of them and I stepped up to the bars where Loki could see me and not make it obvious. . He didn't look at me right away.
"We know Phoenix was here. And these keys have her scent on them, so, tell me, was she here?" Ashton asked. Loki looked down.
"Little spitfire? Yeah she came to see me, said something about hate and war, then left, I told her to leave me be, she said for me to rot in hell and took off, haven't seen her since," he lied. Hunter glared at him.
"The truth Loki, why did she come to you, she had to have a reason," Hunter said. He knew me too well for Loki to lie. I tapped into another power. The mind power. I could enter just his mind.
"Loki it's me, tell them I came to get information on how long you had been stalking us and what you knew."
"Okay, she came to see me because she wanted information about how long I had been watching all of you and what I knew," he said. Hunter looked at Ashton. And Ashton nodded.
"And what did you tell her," he asked.
"Tell him you didn't say anything, that you wouldn't even talk to me."
"I wouldn't speak to her, she got angry with me, threatened me then left, and threw the keys down," he said. Good! And they were buying it. That was the best part.
"Okay, well, if she comes back will you tell her that Arthur needs her help, and don't get corny with her, we will ask her when she comes to find us," Ashton said. He nodded to Ashton. They turned to leave. He hung the keys on a key outside of the cell. I couldn't reach them by hand but my magic I would be able too.
Once they were gone I uncovered myself. I sighed a breath of relief. I was locked in with Loki. And now unless I used magic, I could be locked in here for good. But I did use magic and levitated the keys over to me. I knew they were completely gone and the guard were still sleeping. But he never did say anything about them! Which means they would wake up and look in his cell.
"Okay no I trust that you won't hurt me, so I'm going to unbind you," I said taking the key to his binds and unlocking them. He looked at me confused.
"Why are you doing this for me," he asked. I shrugged.
"We've all been hurt before, we've all lost and grieved, some do it differently than others but no one deserved What you were put through by your father," I said. His bonds came off he didn't move.
"You really are something Spitfire," he said. I shrugged.
"We all have to have someone. And now you have me, as an Ally," I said. He stood up. He didn't frighten me. Not one bit.
"You unbind my power and you don't think I'll escape," he said. I grinned.
"I was trusting the fact that I want you to be free, so that I could, help you through your grief," I said. He smiled at me but his smile faded a little.
"Phoenix, I don't need your help, I've grieved and killed many doing so, I can't anymore," he turned away from me. What did he turn away? Wait, he's scared he will hurt someone again? He didn't want to use me as a pon.
"You wanted me to be your queen because you were lonely and was afraid of never being loved."
