I packed everything I needed for spring break. The island was more tropical so it would be warm. I packed a few pair of shorts, some shorts and tank tops, and a few pair of walking and hiking shoes. Witches weren't great at hiking and my vampire side would be okay but without a proper feeding, I might not be as strong as I usually was. I was no happy about Hunter and how he handled things the last night, but he needed this.

I met Lucy in the den. She was wearing a pair of Jean shorts and a brown tank top. With a flannel tied around her hips. I wore a romper, it was red, and tied it with a yellow belt and yellow sandals. First rule of spring break, always look cute the first day. So when Lucy and I decided to go together, and let Ashton come with Hunter, we made our way to the gym, where a few of us would portal over.

There was a short line to the island. Most of our students went to the Bahamas or a beach somewhere. We were going to an island in the middle of nowhere. And that was okay. Most people only went to find themselves. Some went to find strength, courage, hope, love and joy. We were going because Hunter and I had some problems and we needed to work through them.

When we got to the gym, the portal was swirling in purple and blue. Mystical and beautiful. There were four portals. One to the Bahamas, it had a massive line. One was to the Egyptian ruins(geeks) one was to the Cayman Islands and the other was the island of the lost. The caymans were packed too. Those two were the main spots.

Lucy and I grabbed our bags and headed to our portal. All of our clan and their boyfriends were going their. Including my mom and dad. They felt they could better study the old myth about the island helping people. Which I was glad they were joining me. I felt less alone.

We stepped into the portal, and came out on the other side. We hit the beach part of the island. Ashton and Hunter were standing in the sand beside each other. Hunter was beautiful. He was so sweet but he was confused and it made us more difficult. I could understand why though. He had been stuck as a wolf for a few years and was use to being alone. He didn't know how to be with anyone. And he was now free and in a human body.

"Okay, everyone needs to buddy up and find your sleeping quarters," Ashton said. So Lucy and I decided to bunk together. We had been living with each other so long that we were use to the company. On the island there were a few tiki resorts. With doors made of bamboo and they locked. Because we were limited in shelters, most of us had to share. Sarah and Kiera shared a bunk. And Luna and Cassie shared one. Ashton bunked with Hunter.

Once we were ready, in our hiking gear, shorts, tank top and hiking shoes, we met outside of the tiki cabins. Lucy decided she wanted to go with Ashton. So her and Ashton left and went hiking up a small trail together. It wasn't long before everyone else took off. Hunter included. He wanted to be alone. I hated it, but I respected his wishes. And I wasn't going to bother him.

I wandered alongside the beach, watching the waves. They were call and very small, but the sound was refreshing. And I didn't want to seem like I was lonely. I spotted a rock, about fifty feet from me, so I made my way over, climbed upon it and sat down. I thought to myself as I watched the waves.

The sun wasn't shining bright, but it was hid behind some clouds. Perfect for me. I took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. I wanted to be with Hunter but he had to make his choice alone. If he wanted to be with me, he would tell me. But for now I was alone, and empty. But that didn't stop me. Dad wasn't here and he decided to stay behind at school to get some things done. I wanted to talk to him, or mom, but I didn't want to burden them. I could call to Lucian, but he was with Sarah. I could locate Ashton but Lucy was wanting alone time.

I heard a rustling noise from beside me in the jungle. It sounded like someone was walking or trying to back away. I looked over and seen some branches moving. That indicated there was someone watching me. Whatever or whoever it was, had long gone. They were probably just spying to see what I was up to. It felt different though. Like I needed to see what it was. Almost a longing for an adventure.

I got up and walked over to where the figure had been. I took a deep breath in. I smelled the scent of a wolf. But also I felt it's presence. It wasn't Hunter or Lucy. It was someone I didn't know. Someone, new. I wasn't sure if it was female or male. My smell wasn't picking up anything to detailed. I followed the trail(by smell) into the jungle. I was going deeper and deeper. As I continued the smell got stronger. It was so potent now, I was sure I was almost upon the beast. Unusual but it was calm. Like whoever this was, didn't want trouble. I came to a clearing on a rocky hilltop. There was a small cave to my left ahead. I then inches inside and began looking around.

"Hello," I echoed through the cave. It was here. I could sense it. But it wasn't showing itself.

"Hello, whoever you are, I won't hurt you, I promise, I just wanted to know who you were," I said. Nothing again!

"Okay well, I am sorry to have bothered you, but don't be afraid or weary of me, I'm a peaceful hybrid I promise," I said. Then out of the shadows. A wolf emerged in its wolf form. About five foot in height. And it was SILVER!! Beautiful! It's eyes white and icy. I had never seen a silver wolf before. They were VERY rare species.

"Oh my, you are beautiful," I spoke. It was a male! A boy!! But he wouldn't change back?

"I am Phoenix, I would ask your name, but I see that you are in your beastly form-"

"My name is Landon, in human, but I am known as Artemis."
