Mina: Are you flying home next week, Tzuyu?

Tzuyu: No. But my mom will. So maybe we'll stay in a hotel and then go somewhere.

**Mina nodded. She misses her mom, too. But her parents can't make it next week. Her dad has an important conference to attend to while her mom also has an event that she couldn't postpone.**

Dahyun: Aren't your parents coming, Minari?

Mina: No. They're both busy. But they're planning to come here maybe next month, as soon as they free up their schedules.

Chaeng: If you miss home-cooked meals, we can always drive to my house. Mom does all the cooking, you know.

Tzuyu: Can I also come with you, guys? Remember, I don't have my mom with me, too.

**Dahyun turned to her and squinted.**

Tzuyu: What? I just want to experience Chaeng mom's homemade kimbap and kimchi!

Dahyun: Let's leave that thing to Minari. She needs to win Chaeng's family approval first before we interrupt them, okay? You'll understand what I mean once you meet the love of your life.

**Tzuyu pouted. She wants to go, but Dahyun is right, she needs to give this moment to Mina first.**

**Then Dahyun felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. Someone's calling. She thought.**

**She retrieved her phone from her pocket and stared at it for a while. It's Jeong.**

**Tzuyu accidentally saw the name on it.**

Tzuyu: I thought it's already over?

**Dahyun got startled with Tzuyu's reference.**

Dahyun: Yeah! It is. It's just, she kept on calling me since lunch.

Chaeng: What's so difficult to understand with what you've said? or she's just insensitive?

Tzuyu: I'd go with the insensitive part. If she won't stop calling you, I'll answer that one, so she'll know that we already know what happened to both of you. That might help her realize how stupid she is.

**Dahyun didn't reply to Tzuyu. 'Cause even though she knows that Jeong doesn't mean to hurt anyone, the situation makes everything wrong.**

**Her phone vibrates once more, and Tzuyu saw it again.**

Tzuyu: Why don't you answer that and tell her to leave you alone? If you won't tell her that, then I will.

Dahyun: Okay. I'll---I'll just answer this. Excuse me.

**Then Dahyun stood up and walked out of the door.**

Dahyun: Hello?

Jeong: Are you done with your class?

Dahyun: I am. Why?

Jeong: Can we... you know, talk? I mean, isn't it better if we talk about things in person rather than end it with a text message?

**I can't. I can't do this when you're near. So it's better if we end everything in a text message. Dahyun wants to blurt out but chose to be quiet so Jeong would assume that whatever happened between them isn't important to her anymore.**

Dahyun: I have to go. I'm with Tzuyu, Chaeng, and Mina. And please, don't bother me anymore. Let's just pretend nothing happened. Okay?

Jeong: I can't do that. You know, I can't.

Dahyun: You will, and you should. Okay? Besides, if you really care about me or about anyone, you'll stay away from me.

Jeong: Why is it so easy for you to leave me like this?

Dahyun: No, Jeong. Why is it so easy for you to ruin your relationship with Nayeon? We already had our moments. I guess it's already enough.

**Jeong didn't answer. It's like a minute of dead air as if the line has been cut. But Dahyun couldn't just drop the call without hearing Jeong say goodbye.**

Dahyun: I'm sorry. I have to go.

**Then she hung up.**

**She wants to cry 'cause she knew she hurts her, and it hurts her, too. But the situation is giving her limited choices.**

**Dahyun stayed outside for another minute, just staring at the people passing by. I need to calm down. She told herself.**

Chaeng: Bro!

**Dahyun whirled and saw Chaeng pushing the glass door, and walking towards her. She smiled at her before letting out a heavy sigh.**

Dahyun: The weather is so nice, but why am I feeling gloomy today?

**Chaeng smiled back and nodded.**

Dahyun: I bet you're wondering how it happened, don't you?

Chaeng: Hmm...

**It's not like she wanted to hear the whole story. Whatever she can tell will be enough for her. She just wanted her best friend to feel better, and talking will help her unload the pain.**

Dahyun: I had this huge crush on her ever since my trainee days. Long before I found out that she and Nayeon were together.

Chaeng: Hmm... and that thing stayed for several years?

Dahyun: It might sound unbelievable, but yeah it does. She's funny and cute, not to mention her height. It really feels safe whenever she stands beside me. I don't know Chaeng, it might make me sound pathetic, but I always have this 'what if' at the back of my head. What if she's single, will she notice me?

**Then she let out another heavy sigh.**

Dahyun: Then a couple of months ago, I went to the convenience store, and I saw her there, struggling with what brand of sausage to buy. You know how much I love that thing, so I gave her several options. She fell in love with the one I suggested to her. Then she promised to treat me with coffee after school, just to pay me for the satisfaction she got.

**Chaeng chuckled.**

Chaeng: So it started with a sausage, huh?

**She laughed again.**

Chaeng: Thanks for the sausage.

**Dahyun hit Chaeng on her arm, and laughed with her.**

Dahyun: I literally thank the sausage for that.

**Chaeng whirled to face Dahyun.**

Chaeng: Then you just forgot everything? I mean like 'fuck it' I'm happy when I'm with her. I don't care if it will hurt me or anyone?

**Dahyun looked down, embarrassed with how insensitive and selfish she was.**

Dahyun: Hmm... something like that.

**It took Chaeng a minute before she wrapped her arm around Dahyun's shoulder. This isn't the right time for her to judge her. People make mistakes and get selfish most of the time. So who am I to judge. She thought.**

Chaeng: I didn't know you're that brave to cross the line. I mean, it takes a lot of courage to fuck the world.

Dahyun: Thanks. I mean, for not hating me.

Chaeng: Why would I? Anyway, want bingsu?

**Dahyun smiled and then hugged Chaeng tight.**
