Abbey rushed into their bedroom and there was Jesse, he was collapsed onto the floor, laying on his back grabbing at his chest, wheezing and struggling to get any air out.

"Oh my God Jesse"

"Oh my God Jesse"

Abbey quickly ran to his side.

"Jesse!"

"Abb- ey" He attempted to say her name but it barely came out as a whisper as he began coughing.

"Sssh sssh sssh it's ok, you're going to be ok sweetie"

She looked beside him and saw that the oxygen concentrator had been knocked onto the floor and the oxygen cannula tubing was near his head, his left hand reaching for it. That was the second thud she had heard, he had been trying to get to the oxygen when he collapsed.

"You were having trouble breathing?"

Jesse struggled to get a breath out and nodded.

"Ok"

She grabbed the oxygen tubing and placed it around Jesse's face and into his nostrils, and quickly sat the oxygen concentrator upright, turning it back on. Oxygen immediately began flowing through to Jesse's nose.

"Jess, you're having an episode. You almost passed out again."

Jesse vigourously shook his head.

"No. Different. Never felt. like this. "

"Ok. Chest pain?" Abbey reached for her medical bag. And began searching through it.

Jesse nodded.

"The worst"

"Okay are you having any pain in your left arm? Shoulders or neck? Any numbness or tingling anywhere?" Abbey ordered as she picked up his wrist and felt for the pulse in his radial artery. Jesse's pulse was rapid. But ironically she wasn't feeling any pvcs or an arrhythmia, just an incredibly fast heartrate. He was right, this was different than his normal episodes.

Jesse shook his head again. His skin was pale and becoming clammy. Abbey laid Jesse's wrist back down and moved her hand to feel his cartotid artery in his neck. She was feeling the same thing. Jesse's heart was beating incredibly fast. Abbey was worried that this time was in fact a heart attack.

"No Back. Stomach" Jesse managed to breath out.

Abbeys eyes grew wide as she pulled out the portable EKG.

"Your back and stomach hurt?"

Jesse nodded again.

"Started. Shower."

His eyes began to flutter open and closed.

"No no no. You stay with me!"

Abbey ripped open his shirt, Jesse leaning his head back and breathing deep, his eyes involuntarily opening wide as she does so.
