Jesse woke up Monday morning but instead of Abbey resting on his chest with his arms wrapped around her, he was alone in bed. He turned to look at the clock on his bedside table.

Today was Abbey's first day back at work since having Jaylee. He quickly pushed back the sheet and blankets, and got out of bed. He reached fot a pair of sweatpants, quickly putting them on and headed down to their daughter's nursery. Not surprised at all, he found Abbey fully dressed holding their daughter in her arms.

"There you are, can't say I was surprised to find you here though. This was the first place I looked," Jesse announced.

Abbey looked up catching her husband standing in the doorway.

She couldn't help but smile. She was eager to return back to work, she had missed it but she was torn. She wanted to stay at home with her two favorite people.

"You know we'll be ok, right?" He asked her. "I got this"

Her smiled widened.

"Oh I know you do. You two will be just fine. But you'll be here with her all day so I wanted to get her first feeding in before I left, spend some time with her."

"Yeah I get it. I know how hard it is to leave her"

"So how did you do it?"

"I don't know. I just did, I guess. I guess knowing she was here with you that she was just fine, that's what got me through the days until I could come back home to the two of you"

She smiled and nodded, carefully getting up transferring Jaylee from her arms to her shoulder. She stood over her crib, laying Jaylee down in it.

Jesse came up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. She leaned back into his embrace, the top of her head fitting perfectly underneath his chin.

"She's going to be fine, baby"

She nodded, a smile on her face, placing her hands over Jesse's that were wrapped around her.
