 "Thank you sir! have a nice day" You exclaimed as you walked out. You were ordered by Queen Toriel to grab some things from the village down south. You worked for the royal Dreemur family. Not as a guard but as a gatherer, meaning you supply things for the kingdom, food, materials, you were in charge of all of that. 

  Queen Toriel was trying out a new snail pie recipe but didn't have some of the things needed, none of them were local to the area the castle was, so you needed to travel farther out than usual for materials. You sighed as you checked your list of items, marking down the one thing you got. You looked around the village, kids ran around laughing and playing while adults buzzed in and out of shops. Geez this place is cramped. You scoffed a little, you didn't like cramped areas. "Y/n? Are there anymore places you need to head to before we make our way back to the castle?" You heard a voice say. You jumped a little and looked at the person next to you. Sans was staring at you, awaiting your reply.

 "O-oh! yes, we'll need to go a few more places" You had completely forgot he was there. Cross was ordered to go with you due to how far the village was. Queen Toriel did not want you to get hurt. Cross was one of the royal guards. He was a short skeleton with mad combat skills. Cross looked at you, tilting his head.

"Well then lets get going, the sun is going to set soon" Sans observed the sky. The sun was about to set. 

"Right!" You squeaked as you checked your list for the things you needed. "herbs" You hummed to yourself. You looked around the crowded shopping area. A small wood cabin caught your eye, it was covered in moss. Smoke rose from the stone chimney.  A sign outlined in forest green hung above the doorway. Herbs and Remedies the sign read. You smiled and pointed it out to Sans. "That's where we're heading" You say. Sans nodded and followed you to the shop. 

The aroma was strong. All kinds of herbs and plants. You smiled knowing you could definitely fulfill your quest from Queen Toriel. You rushed around looking for the specific herbs needed. Sans stood around awkwardly while watching. Your head turned to look at him. 

"Sans! Can you find this plant for me while I look for another please?" You asked with a smile. Sans hesitated a little wondering if he would even be of any help but nodded and walked over to you. "Alright, I need you to look for this" You pointed to a drawn out picture on your list. 

"Did you draw that?.." Sans asked, looking over your shoulder. You looked over at him. He was practically looming over you. (yes, I'm making him taller, deal with it :D) You blushed, realizing how short you were compared to this also short skeleton. I mean, have you seen his brother? He looked so small compared to him! 

You nodded shyly to answer Sans's question. 

"It looks great Y/n" He compliments, admiring the other drawings of plants and other items on the list to help you visualize what they look like. You blush while he stares over your shoulder at your drawings. 

He blinks and realizes what he did. 

"Sorry Y/n" he apologizes. "I didn't mean to stare for so long" he chuckles, and rubs his neck. 

"It's alright Sans! Just help me look for the h-herbs" You stutter a little.  He nods and walks off somewhere into the store to look around. 

You guys had met maybe 2 months ago. You had ran into each other while working. You were carrying a big box of supplies and accidently knocked over Sans. That was the first time you met. The next day you found him and apologized for knocking him over. That's when you got each others name. From that day on you both have talked once in a while during work. You've also hung out from time to time. He was a sweet skeleton. Although you haven't hung out a lot you've gotten really attached. You wouldn't say it's exactly a crush but 100% you wouldn't mind dating him.
