You sat on your bed, hugging your knees to your chest. The room was dark but was dimly lit by the moonlight peering through the open window. You looked through social media on your phone, random pictures of people popped up. They all looked like they were having fun, you couldn't do that in the state you were in right now. You let out a long sigh and gazed out the open window into the night sky. The trees rustled with every gust of wind. You shivered from the cold. 

"You'll catch a cold with the window open like that Y/n" A chilling but at the same time soothing voice said. You continued to stare out the window unfazed that someone else was here. You heard the figure sigh exhaustedly as footsteps approached your bed. A pair of skeletal arms extended out and closed your window with a loud SNAP as the latch snapped back into place. "C'mon Y/n, did you not even have any energy for that?" The figure put a steady hand on your shoulder and shook you a little. You moved your head to look at the tall figure standing next to your bed. As you looked up at them you could feel a smile start to form on your face from his positive aura. 

A skeleton smiled back at you, their golden eyes gazed into yours. Soft golden wings fluttered slightly on the sides of him. 

"Hello Dreamy" You said with slight sigh. "I didn't expect you tonight.." You looked away from him and lead your eyes to look back at the scenery outside. 

"What's wrong with visiting my favorite person?" He asked in a particular tone. He leaned over, trying to get you to look at him. You rolled your eyes and glanced at him, not bothering to give him an answer. Dream chuckled and looked around your room. "Are there more drawings hung up than last time I visited?" He asked, standing up straight to get a better look. You nodded. You liked drawing, it was sort of an escape from reality for you. Dream walked around your room admiring all your newest drawings. "They look marvelous Y/n, you've gotten better" He looked back at you with a sincere smile. You smiled slightly at the compliment.  

"Thanks Dream" You plainly say. He ran his hand across a picture you drew of you both.

"My my Y/n! This is beautiful! I love the detail you put on my wings" He stretched out his wings to compare the drawing to them. You smiled wider. 

"Are you feeling any better?" Dream asks with hopefulness. You gazed up at the ceiling in thought. 

"Better than yesterday I suppose" You said with a shrug. Dream walked back over to where you were sitting on your bed. 

"That's better than nothing Y/n" He smiled and patted your head. The positive aura hit you harder than last time. You closed your eyes and smiled again, this time bigger than before. Seeing your smile made him smile wider. Seeing you smile was something to remember. You were always so full of negative emotions, he couldn't stand around and watch. You were so wonderful, it was nice to know he was the reason behind your smile. 

You felt Dream take his hand off your head, the positivity wasn't as strong anymore. You opened your eyes. It was stuffy and cramped in your small room with Dream's big wings. Even when they were folded they were still pretty big and intimidating. 

"Dreamy, can we go on a walk?" You yawned. Dream tilted his head as you swung your legs out and to the side of your bed to stand up and stretch.

"A walk? At this hour?  It's 3 am in the morning" He protested. 

"I'm not tired" You said in a monotone voice. Pulling on some socks you walked out your bedroom door into the hallway, Dream following behind you. 

"Are you sure? They're strange people out there. Especially at this hour Y/n," Dream continued to protest. You grabbed a house key from your kitchen countertop and slipped on some shoes. You opened the door and look out up at the night sky. Stars dotted every inch of it. You sighed and turned your head toward Dream, looking into his eyes. His golden eyes sparkled as the stars reflected in them. 

"You'll be there to protect me, won't you?" You asked, your lightless (e/c) eyes darted back an forth between his eyes.  

Dream's eyes widen slightly at your comment. A small golden blush erupted on his cheekbones. Your eyes were still on him, awaiting his answer. He shook himself a little.

"I'll always be there for you, my  Y/n" He answered, smiling.  You gave a small smile and nod and headed out the door, hopping down the steps of your porch, Dream following in pursuit. You're face started to feel hot after what he said. A sudden feeling swelled in your stomach. You put a hand up to your cheek. Your face was burning. "Y/n? Are you alright?" You heard Dream ask. He caught up to and was walking right beside you. You looked up at him. 

"I don't know, my face feels hot" You stated. Dream hummed. 

"Maybe the breeze will cool you down" He said and looked up at the sky. "My my, the sky is beautiful tonight is it not?" You nodded and looked up at the sky as well. You continued to think about the feelings you were experiencing right now. You felt happy but there was something else. A feeling that wouldn't go away. Was it love? Your face felt hotter at the thought. You've known each other for a while...but was it really? The feeling in your stomach grew. You cursed under your breath. It was no doubt, love. 

"Y/n are you sure you're alright?" you heard him ask. "Your face looks hotter than before," He put a hand to your cheek. "Y/n you're burning! Do you have a cold?" You both stopped walking as Dream examined your face. You put a hand on his wrist. 

"Dreamy I'm fine, trust me" your grip on his wrist tightened. 

"Are you sure? Your face is growing hotter at the moment, and it looks red" Your heart pounded. He's never been so worried. 

"Yes Dream I'm fine, just a little cold" You lied and it didn't seem to work as Dream looked at you with a dumbfounded face. 

"That lie isn't gonna work. Now please, what's the matter, can't you tell me?" Dream asked with worry. You avoided eye contact, trying to turn your face away but he wouldn't let you as he let his hand that was on your cheek drift down to hold your chin, forcing you to look at him. "Why are you making this so difficult?" 

"Dream I don't know myself...it's such a weird feeling, something I haven't felt in a long time.." You paused, looking straight up at him. "I think I'm in love...a-and I know that doesn't make sense! But what else is it? More depression?" You asked, starting to worry over what it was yourself. Dream was taken aback by that sentence. Love? But who? 

"And who would you be in love with?" This time it was your turn to be dumbfounded. 

"You! Who else would I be in love with? I barely see anyone and you're the only one who makes me happy!" You slightly raised your voice. Dream felt his own face heat up. A golden hue erupted on his cheekbones. 

"O-oh!" He mentally slapped himself for being so dumb. He looked around, thinking what he should do next. You stood their uncomfortably, tears threatening to fall as you also had no idea what you should do either. You looked down as Dream had taken his hand off your chin. 

An immortal guardian of positivity and a depressed mortal. What greater match is there?  You thought. 

Dream took a deep breath. Putting a hand on your shoulder he used his free hand to lift up your chin to look at him. Your eyes on the brink of tears. 

You were swiftly brought into his embrace. His arm around your waist and your hands against his chest. Your eyes widened as you felt something pressed against your lips. In just a blink of an eye Dream has pulled you into his chest and was kissing you. 

"Mmph!" You mumbled through the kiss. Dream pulled away first as you stood in shock. 

"I love you too, the light of my life"

Also I'm so sorry if that isn't how you wanted it go but I really hope you like it, I didn't add a lot of drawing to it I know even though you requested it. :') That's it my little Moons!
